I started seeing this from a different perspective: if the people who've told me this were thinking of themselves and others like them as examples of fulfillment when referring to my potential, then am I friggin' glad I fell off!
Wanna know why? Because I know for a fact most of them were miserable until the day they died. Well, not all of them are dead, but of those that died... you get it... My point, at least I've had some damned fine moments while doing it my way! I won't regret the story I'll leave behind.
Well, that would be nice, but it's still not all of them. Unfortunately, I own a Zenfone 10 as my main driver, and Asus have not released the unlock tools they promised since Zenfone 9. And, afaik, this is applicable to a lot of the top producers, with a few exceptions.
I can't wait for the new regulations to properly settle in, hopefully we'll start seeing full unlocks with the upcoming generations...
I mean... look, I'm genuinely not trying to be a sour asshole, but why did we need this? How is this furthering the development of smartphone tech? It's, like... sure, pretty graphics are nice, but do we really need ray-tracing on our phones? (I know it's not ray-tracing, but you get my point)
The blob emojis were one of their best features, that's so true! I kid you not, every single time I've used Slack for work, for every single company which used it, someone had already uploaded the blobs! I really didn't understand that move, the current Smile emoji looks psychotic.
I honestly don't even know why I'm paying attention to Apple at this point, I think it's like digging my nail into a freshly scarred-over cut, just to tease that sting out a bit. It's the only way in which they have ever contributed to my feeling alive.
Jesus, yeah, I have a lot of friends in that position... I was lucky enough to be able to quit before things became outright quicksand and am looking into completely different professions at this point. I don't want to touch a computer for anything other than fucking about in my free time. Maybe some data entry, but that's it. At least the diversity somewhat negates the impact of just how dire things are, I guess.
I honestly don't know how we'll get ourselves out of this one if things keep going the way they have.
