  • Thank you :)

That sounds not so complex for me.

But I think of no-technical guys and I think that create a channel and share the link is already to complex! I mean, I can teach them that, but that's not obvious as Signal or similar app.

  • That's nice, but it looks like a workaround.

I can do it for myself because I'm a geek (but I don't want to), but if I say to my friends/colleagues that they need another smartphone at home they are going to look at me like I'm crazy !! 🫣

  • Nice! :)
Do you have to setup a bridge/bot for each room? Or is it at configuration at the server level?

For exemple if I have a matrix account and I use Element to create a new channel and invite some guys with IRC and some with XMPP?

  • The problem with peer2peer messaging is:

Though several apps that use the Tox protocol seem similar in function to regular instant messaging apps, the lack of central servers similar to XMPP or Matrix currently has the consequence that both parties of the chat need to be online for the message to be sent and received (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tox_(protocol)#Usability_as_an_instant_messenger )

That's why I think about using only decentralized protocol.

Both (decentralized and p2p) are usefull, but that not the same usage.

  • Thank for sharing that. I'm going to try it. :)

  • I use Bitwarden!

I like that I can share password with my team. :)

  • Sounds good!

That's a hard work to try to be compatible with X11 and Wayland.

I hope that could simplify that.

  • ...

    Jump
  • I'm used to : Angular or React + Pyramid(Python) or Strapi(Nodejs)

  • The main thing about Fairphone is not the phone but the supply chain.

    https://www.fairphone.com/en/impact/

Nothing is perfect and a phone cannot make happy every one (is there a jack or not ...). But I'm happy that they try to make a good phone with all the hidden things in mind (from where come from the rough material, who is making the pieces and in which conditions ...). That's more important for me then the final product.

  • I love the concept to store request in files and that you can use git to version! Lovely

  • You shared only the picture, not the link.

  • Hi! I'm still reading the article but I'm already thankful that you shared it.

It's a good piece of software development and I like the way it draw a nice future for this. 🤩

  • I used it a bit, but you need a WhatsApp account to chat with WhatApp user.

The goal is to have all your account and messages in one App, but you still need one account per Service (whatspapp, telegram, twitter ... ).

  • I wonder if WhatsApp is going to make a white list of compatible App or if they just open an API or document a protocol...

    Anyway, I found it awesome.

If someone don't want to chat with a WhatsApp user it's always possible too.

  • I love that the explications are so clear!

  • Cons

    • No charger and no cable in the box.

That's a Pros in my point of view ! Because we already have a lot of charger/cable in are house usually.

  • Secure Camera looks very very nice, with QRcode reader !! Oh I think I'll love it!

  • I didn't know Aves. It's very good ! Thank's

  • Yeah, with some objects, in a room, outside in the nature. Just to see how it's working with more than one subject in the middle. 🙂

  • Ooo!! 🤩 I love the concept!

Did you try with a more complex input video?
