I'm not one of those folks who yells about the mainstream media (I mean the only thing I do scream about is Murdoch Media so I guess I do yell about mainstream media), but man, I'm so sick of the media decrying about "both sides". I don't know Channel 7, or Channel 9, Nazi's are pretty fucking bad, no matter what era they're from. My great uncles and my granddad didn't fight in WWII just so a bunch of Nazi's with an account on 8kun could run around Melbourne while going on a homoerotic camping trip.
Increase in pay. I mean I'd love to be able to work 4 days a week, but I think money is my main issue. The only thing work/life balance would achieve is I'm not spending an extra $20 to go to and from work.
I don't have that issue, I'm fat and people tend to not want to sit next to fat people... I wonder why? /S
(No but seriously it is both freeing and also upsetting. Like yes no one wants to sit next to me, but then also "Jesus Christ no one wants to sit next to me!" Especially during bus replacements.
I feel so bad when I'm emailing people who don't sign off but they have a name that can be shortened. Like a Joshua or something. I don't want to seem rude by saying Josh, but I also know people who don't like the long version of their name (I hate the short version of my name and I have another nickname that is popular with people who have the same name as me).
I've used the pin thing but the pin I have doesn't work properly. I might try the hook and eye thing though. Need to go to Spotlight anyways to grab some fabric to fix a hole in a shirt I love.
Edit: I realise my comment makes it seem like I'm happy you didn't get the job, lmfao. That sucks to hear, I am excited for the team leader connecting with you on Linkedin
I have this Dangerfield pinafore that I love to wear, but for some reason the zipper sucks. It's not that like there isn't elastic because there is, and it's not like the zipper is broken. It's just super happy to unzip itself for some reason and I don't know what to do with it? Like the teeth aren't broken, the zip isn't broken. I'm just so confused lmfao
Today is DND day. I'm so excited to finally play DND with my friends.
We're trying out Pause Menu in Fitzroy because going to someone's house takes time (only 2 people in our group drives and they're both in the North). And as much as I love Fortress, it's too bloody loud, and I'm hard of hearing, and my DM is quiet. So we'll see if Pause Menu is good.
I'm hoping it is, because trying to find places to play DND that are in places where we can all get to. It's a shame Games Lab shut down, but apparently the emails from the owners were getting more and more weird.
Yes, highly recommend being honest and open. A year or so ago for some reason my ex-stepdad was still tied to my mum's bank account and for some reason rent didn't go through, so we were like a week behind or something. Mum (who is a property manager so it probably helped) was honest and apologetic and explained the situation. And it was fine, was able to pay it in the end. If you have any questions, I can ask my mum about stuff related to this?
When I was getting fucked around by Centrelink around the start of 2020, I said to the (very nice) Centrelink lady "I literally have $50 to my name" was when she expedited it and I think like a few days later I got back pay of like $2k.
This is exactly why I want to get married. I mean like I have feelings around marriage due to my parents divorce (as well as my mum's divorce with my ex-stepdad), and while de facto is great it doesn't take into account medical or legal things, as well as de facto only means couples who are living together. My partner and I have been together for almost 10 years and we haven't lived together yet, so because of that we're not considered de facto. Thus, when it comes to medical stuff, my mum and dad has say over things related to me, and my partner's mum has say over things related to them. It just feels like such a slap in the face.
I really hope that they won't be around during PAX, though I imagine they will because I think the next weekend is the vote.
