  • I feel very vindicated.

Power goes out about almost an hour ago, except for some lights and stuff, very weird. So we're going through the motions of flicking the power switch at the side of the house and everything, and afterwards Mum tells us we need to turn everything off at the power point, and so everything is slowly working but my stuff. Mum comes in and sees my cords and then starts to say that the reason why everything went out might be because of me. I get annoyed and defensive because she instantly tells me that it could be my fault, and she then gets snarky and annoyed when I tell her that it can't just be me and she says she's not accusing me. Even though she never said this to my sister and only said this after she saw my stuff and went "Jesus Christ!".

Anyways everything starts turning on again, awesome great, lights are working. Mum goes back to bed and turns on one of the power points in her room and guess what happens... everything goes out again. We find the culprit and its one of mum's sockets/power points that is causing the issue. So fuck me right?

  • Highly recommend Revo. It does such a fantastic job and it's great because it helps you clean out the left over files, so if you're not as tech-savvy (or you are, you just don't know how to or where to remove files/folders) it does a great job!

  • Elastoplast has one called pre-taping wrap. It's okay? I don't mind it.

  • Yeah the pandemic really just elevated the shittyness.

  • Did they use the tape that goes underneath the sports tape at all? It doesn't help 100% but it's better than nothing.

  • I did The Batman that's almost 3hrs, but I was also in Gold Class (or maybe it was Hoyts Lux), that wasn't too bad. Though when I watched The Eternals that was 2hrs and 38mins that was in regular cinemas though and man I hated it.

But I was also dealing with my back injury at the time so sitting is very uncomfortable.

  • Last night I made a playlist for Paul McCartney's Adelaide setlist for tomorrow night, because I know maybe the 1 or 2 Wings song and some from his Egypt Station album, but that's it. I know more Beatles songs.

I'm devo that he might not play Yellow Submarine. It's my fave Beatles song (and something I want tattooed because it's more of a tattoo for my Nana who introduced me to the Beatles through it), but he did play Let It Be which is my second favourite one so not bad.

  • God I hate Instagram, no wonder why I don't use it. When searching through tags you can't search via chronological anymore, it's either "top" or "recent top" and recent top you'd think is chronological. Nope! It's basically the most recent posts but has a higher like or view count. So you can get posts from a few days ago, then one in February and then one in July and then one from a week ago. It's ridiculous.

And the other thing I noticed is if you search through someone's feed, no matter if you follow them or not, you'll get ads! Look I get that ads are something the site will have, it sucks but like sure. The app needs to get paid somehow. But why in the middle of people's feeds? That is ridiculous!

    I hate the internet.

  • That's great to hear! I imagine you're taking a long acting one?

I usually take mine at 8am and then sleep for about an hour. Because stimulant meds take into effect about 45mins to an hour after you've taken them. I've heard that it's best to not have food while you take the meds, I usually don't eat an hour before or after because I've heard that it dulls it, but I also have eaten within that two hours and have been fine. Also it's recommended to also not drink vitamin c or ascorbic acid drinks/food within an hour before and after you've taken your meds, basically the science behind it is that stimulant medication are alkaline and cannot be absorbed. So any high dose of vitamin c essentially acts an "off" switch.

So I usually drink apple juice or such instead, or have orange juice hours after I've taken my meds. It's annoying but I'd rather sacrifice two hours of no drink + food than not have motivation and dopamine.

  • Always, and I'm always so scared to drop something down there too!

  • Honestly like I have my own feelings on JKR, but like from a writing standpoint, she's not actually that good. Her world building is atrocious, I can find better world building in a Harry Potter AU fanfic!

Like and this isn't to say "it's fine for kids", kids should also get quality entertainment.

  • How'd you go?

My psych got me to start slow with them, and like as a reminder, they aren't a cure sadly. You still have to do everything but you'll actually get motivated.

Though when going on higher doses, please keep note of your emotions. I went up to 5 ritalin a day and it was like instant depression (and I already have regular depression). Instantly went back to 4 and I was fine. So keep note of how you are feeling when it comes to that.

But this is exciting! I'm so happy for you!

  • I am a fan of the indie bookstores, so Robinson's and Readings. However, be warned that pretty much any book store will be super overpriced. I enjoy going to Dymocks but man, some books can almost cost as much or even more than a new release video game.

  • My idea of "making it" is being able to live somewhere where you have choice of train, bus and tram.

But in general I agree, I'd like to be able to live with my partner instead of living at home with my mum. I mean I never really had a plan past 18 except a general idea (depression sucks) but I hate being 28 and living at home. While I'm happy that she didn't kick me out once I turned 18 but still.

  • I keep meaning to read and catch up on everyone's life but I get so busy that by the time I remember it's bed time.

But my planner came in today, super excited but oh my God Auspost are something else (not new lbr). But I got the "hey your parcel has been delivered" app message. I'm excited, I check it and see ... That's not my work. It's a photo of a door and some light brick and I'm like ??? Huh? So I took off during my lunch break walking up and down near where work is to see if there's a house that matches the bricks or door but I get nothing.

Until I think "maybe they've dropped it off at 11 instead of 18". I've put down that the address is 18 unit 11 because work is in an office suite. 11 on my street is a retirement village, also private property. Luckily there was a guy coming out to walk his dogs and I asked him if it was okay to go in there (because I've never had to visit retirement homes) and mentioned the misplaces package. He tells me where reception is, I go there, a tradie helps me and tells me where 18 in the unit section is, I go out and a woman who works there said the package is actually in the reception area.

So I was able to grab it. But like Jesus Christ, I'm also in pain because #chronicpain4life, and I wasted half an hour of my lunch break because some idiot couldn't understand that I put the correct information in. I just, ugh.

  • Gosh, I was falling asleep at my desk at work today. I don't know what it was, I had coffee, I had my ADHD medication. Tried to walk around to wake me up. But an hour after I took my afternoon ADHD meds my body was like "okay it's wake up time!" ... ugh.

Though to add, I've gone to bed later than I did last night and I've been fine. So I have no idea why I was so bloody sleepy. But in good news, my planner arrives tomorrow or Wednesday so I'm pumped. I'm also looking at a bunch of Etsy stores that sell printable planner stickers because it's cheaper IMHO to buy printable stickers and then use Mum's cricket machine since the only thing I need to buy more of is the sticker paper.

  • I just wish people would fucking go home if they're sick. Did we learn nothing?

I did test yesterday and I got a negative so that's good. I don't feel sick but who knows!

  • Yeah it does feel really weird. Like same-sex marriage vote was a unanimous yes, and Labor's wins in both the Federal and State elections weren't landslides but they were better than majority thought. I understand that this one lost because there was so much misinformation, but it just feels so weird that it lost by a lot. So far only one state/territory has got a majority Yes. Victoria is always a pretty safe Progressive seat as of late, and while the inner electorates are mostly Yes and the regional electorates being No. It still feels weird that it's a majority No here.

  • I understand why Albo said he respects the decision of the Australian people.

But I fucking don't. People who voted no suck.

  • Yeah I really just do not understand why it's a bad thing that our First Nations peoples can have more say when it comes to stuff related to them. Like I heard one wild thing was if the voice was majority yes, then First Nations peoples would kick every person out of their house.

First, what an absolutely wild assumption. Secondly, I mean that's what white colonisers did...
