  • You are able to force devices to use a specified DNS. even when they have hard coded DNS in them. Your router/firewall must be able to support redirection of network traffic though.

  • In the basis you are right. But nowadays a good large USB stick shut be able to handle it fine over a long period. I would recommend to put the cache and temp directory's on a memory drive. that way you do not constantly stress out the USB.

On the other hand nowadays their are USB cases for M.2 SSDs. this would eliminate the entire problem.

  • In my case i do not use any sort of glue. I just print straight on the texured or PEI sheet. Never really hat issues. If it does not stick welll, I clean it with dishsoap. Seems to work best after a wile of use.

  • I assume you do not use the AUR much then? Personally i tried Manjaro in the beginning and broke it in less then 2 months. Hat a ton of dependencies conflicts due to using AUR packages. installed arch and everything was fine. Now using tumbleweed just to switch things up a bit.

  • Honestly this is a bit extreme in my opinion. I have been printing ABS for some years now. It is what i print in the most in fact. I am using a prusa MK3 (now S) without a enclosure. and it works just fine even rather large prints. Only thing to keep in mind is the fumes. In my case the printer is in a separate room which is well ventilated.
