If you do this, you'll start writing small scripts to help you with repeating tasks, to simplify somethings, then you'll start looking for help trying to improve those scripts, then you'll find better written and tested ones and start replacing yours with those, one by one. Then you'll probably find pass or other terminal password manager. It can be a fun learning experience but sooner or later you'll end up using a password manager.
I went back to university last year and exactly this. They have Microsoft subscription with all the bells and whistles, classroom, work material, homework, etc.
edit: I guess I just ADHDed in the middle of writing this comment. it was supposed to continue:
... zoom and all its options, plus a custom classroom web app that replicates some of Microsoft's stuff and all professors use WhatsApp for everything, and email only for delivering finals papers.
This is really sad but true. My friend was called back to office. He is a copy writer for an ad agency and he has literally zero reasons to go back, except they put it to vote and most copy writers wanted to go back to office, because they had no other ways to socialize.
I agree with all of your points, but I am learning a lot on a very diverse set of topics from YouTube. There are some amazing people making educational videos there. The most time consuming stuff I watch is "let's play" videos. I kind of let them play in the backgrounds sometimes to relax, like white noise.
They don't even lose money. Those huge figures that keep changing are literally imaginary. For example, let's say I have company and I make it publicly traded. I keep 100 shares and sell 100 shares for a dollar each. some guy buys 1 then sells it to someone else for $10. Now I have $1000 because each share is valued at $10 now. A few days later some other guys sells his 1 share for $5. Now I have $500 and I've lost half my money overnight. And during all this up 1000% down 50% advanture only $115 changed hands. There has never been a 1000 or even 500 dolars.
If I wanted to sell. my 100 shares when it was 10 a piece I wouldn't be able to do so, because as soon as I start selling shares on mass it would lose its value. But I can show it as collateral and get credit from a bank. I didn't create any value but now I have lots of cash. The more I think about it the more pissed of I get.
I used to think that too but at least historicaly, if the problem is the system itself then there are no ways to solve the problem from within the system. see French revolution. The problems of feudalism couldn't have been solved by following the law. I am not calling for violence or anything like that. Just pointing out it hasn't been that simple, just categorically opposing any form of violence, throughout history. If the current system continues on its trajectory, soon there won't be anything legal left for the masses to do. So not "it should happen" but "it will inevitably happen", it being violent revolution.
social democracies are trying to slowly adapt the situation, let's hope it will be enough.
My wife was on a call with Vodafone a few days ago. I was finally able to get to a human and I think I know how. Just said stuff the chatbot could not recognize. Just gibberish. It shouldn't even be able to guess what you are trying to accomplish. After just a few tries it will redirect you to a human.
in feudal times ordinary people would have wanted to be a king or a lord, it doesn't make it right and it doesn't mean they didn't want, fought for, and died for a revolution.
I have a OnePlus 9 pro and I love lineageos but the camera... The camera is just way better on stock :(
