  • well with PGP, the header is unencrypted

Is there a single large company that even sends PGP email?

logging into example.com with the user's email and that 2fa code is going to be a breeze

Sure, IF 1. you already have the user's password, and 2. a new code wouldn't be required/the previous code invalidated when initiating a new login session?

Like, I'm not saying that 2FA codes via email is secure, but you're implying that they are making a security hole via this - which I don't see.

  • I assume you just leave the keyring on your desk/in some drawer? I had handcuff keys on my normal ring and the pointy thing on the keys (for double-locking) made holes in my jeans, so you'd be crazy to go around with those for opening SIMs in your pocket.

Why? Too much risk someone will be close to the tracks?

If following Hanlon's razor, that entire situation sounds like someone proposed "we need trains going into the city", set it up, and called it a day.

The train I usually take saves maybe only like 15 minutes (normally about an hour to drive), but at least you can do more stuff on the train rather than sitting at the wheel.

  • I have recently gotten off telegram and my instances of being questioned by the CBP (for no reason at all) have virtually stopped.

What kind of questions did you usually get? And did you have "who can find me by my number" set to "everybody"? Because the CBP gets your telephone number in different ways (most likely ESTA if you're using that), and then they can easily see your Telegram account.

I have Telegram and travel often, and I have never gotten any weird questioning from CBP other than the normal "what are you doing here and when are you heading back". Then again, no one can find my account via telephone number...

Wallhacking isn't a special case...? It's one of the most common cheats and gives an enormous advantage.

    that you assume are unsolvable

So again, what's your master method? The server doesn't send player positions until nearly within the other player's sight, but even that already gives a huge advantage and is nothing the server can do about it via non-LAN networks, otherwise people will be "popping out" / managing to attack the other player before their position was even received by the player being attacked.

Certain genres of games can work well with only server-side anticheat, but FPS isn't one of them.

  • it is sufficient to detect it and enforce consequences

So how do you propose detecting that a client is rendering a model that shouldn't be rendered (because it's behind a solid wall for example) without some client-side anticheat?
