  • the last time when I used Opera browser was on my Sony Ericsson W580i and C702i

  • my streaming device is a 4th gen Intel i5 computer with Kodi.

I don't think I'll see more ads in the future 😆

  • where I live, "upright" pianos are called "pianínó"

  • mhhm those rotating 3D models in source 🤤

  • Konsole, but only because I'm on Plasma. I really don't rven like it that much, but... well, it's a terminal, it does terminal things so I'm more than OK with it.

On xfce, I would youse xfce-terminal.

anything is fine as long as basic stuff works - like ctrl/shift+insert (tho it's a thing I had to manually setup in Konsole 😅)

  • I kinda liked Windows Messenger/MSN/Windows Live Messenger with all its quirks.

There were even a few MSN apps for Android back then, like Epinephrine. It was nice. I could even use MSN from my Sony Ericsson W595 through eBuddy and Bluetooth PAN networking.

Sadly, Facebook killed it and for some reason, they thought it would be nice to kill it off in favor of Skype, which never worked as intended and was a really heavy boy to run.

  • in Earthbound, there's an exploit where you can have technically infinite PP if you put a Magic Truffle to the last slot of your inventory and buy a good amount of Ketchup Packets.

When you use the Magic Truffle in a battle, only just a Ketchup Packet will be consumed but not the truffle - you still gain 90 PP.

  • I had a friend in elementary school around early 2000s who was a huge computer nerd and with him I discovered the world of programming and computers in general - he was also the one who introduced me to Linux, Slax/Slackware, Blackpanther OS, UHU and later Ubuntu.

Then I installed my first Linux system for myself, which was Ubuntu then later changed to openSUSE. I loved it, up until the point KDE 4 came out and after 3.5, I hated it with passion so I dropped Linux for a while.

I had and have lots of Raspberry Pis, so I haven't abandoned Linux completely, also in University, I needed Linux so I had a Kubuntu as well, but didn't use it too intensively.

Also I used to bork all my Linux installations sooner or later to the point I was unable to recover them.

Now I built a new PC and I deceided I will use Linux, because I have no intentions to use Windows 11 for a while at least, so now my daily driver is Debian with KDE Plasma.

Tho I had no idea the louder part of the community/fandom is so toxic, cringe and childish, and I was and am in a few fandoms before, I've seen some shit, but not this much of a shit some Linux extremists have.

  • Thoughts on this?

  • only thing keeping me back to switch to Wayland is Barrier. I need that for my work machine 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Epoxy could work.

3DSs have their interconnect ribbons in the right hinge, the left one is 'just' the mechanics.

Also, the shell is pretty sturdy. But nevertheless, you really should replace it, but probably enough just the inner shell of your screen to replace.

Now the sad part is that IIRC for that, you still have to disassemble the whole unit - including removing the ribbons in the hinge then reinserting them. This sucks major ass, it's really-really hard and tricky to do, and there's a relatively great chance you bork some of them (camera, screen or speaker/vol/3d controls).

    It's not impossible, tho.

  • noone was talking about defending stuff, rather explaining.

tbh, it's kinda unclear to me as well how do you use a bidet properly, I mean you walk around with shitty hole in your bathroom, when do you flush or clean up the toilet if neccessary...?

or if it's built into the toilet, you stand up still drippy hole? do you use soap? when and how? you dry your butt still sitting on top of your poo?

    see? lots of unclarity here.

I'm thinking about upgrading my porcelain throne anyway...

  • some Android OSKs have Ctrl button, like Unexpected Keyboard (it's FOSS), it's also my choice.

downside, there is absolutely no dictionary and autocorrect but it's absolutely marvelous, have all the keys and pretty configurable. has a bit of learning curve, since you swipe on keys to access more keys rather holding it down but this makes it powerful IMO

  • I would say the Xbox 360, tho I never really owned one. I feel it was maybe the most polished modern console, the most friendliest, worked offline (obviously), was easy to hack and MS didn't really made a fuss about it. an x360 was accessible for everyone, even for the less fortunate peeps around here central-eastern and eastern europe. hacked or not, ms had a nice market here and the xbox brand was pretty stable.

The PS2, the og Xbox (though it really was a PC), the Game Cube, Wii, Wii U, and of course the 8 and 16 bit era consoles are also great candidates one by one.
