True. Australian settlers would have been living amicably with the indigenous like family had only Russian proaganda not corrupted their minds.

So what is she going to do about it? Also it is not like both petrol/diesel cars and the oil industries are not heavily subsidised as well.

This somewhat makes sense in that ra w media is higher volume in terms of data. But lossy compressed images and video can still be high data-volume even if they are not raw.

The aspect that is missing from this discussion is how much it would actually cost Apple to include high wired data transfer speeds in non pro models and whether non pro models cost enough to justify including this feature even if a small fraction of users use it.

As an addendum I will share my opinion that even pro model users are not gonna use wired transfer 99.99% of the time. I feel Apple is doing this to fabricate a separation between pro and non-pro models plus boosting their bottom line. Sadly there are a bunch of people in this thread that are uncritically defending a trillion dollar corporation for reasons I cannot fathom. This is not really a topic that I'm passionate about so I'm not gonna engage in this any further.

Don't believe in Russiagate but he was definitely cosier with Putin than other US presidents. It would have been interesting to see how he would have handled this "dilemma". My guess is he would have had no choice but to support Ukraine and alienate Putin. No way he would have been allowed to impede this war.

Erosion of democracy under BJP has been cranked up to 11 but I feel like saying that India is not a democracy anymore ignores that India since independence has not been very democratic to begin with. Political power was then concentrated in the hands of high caste Hindus, the wealthy, the landowners, etc. and it's the same now except worse.

The reason I bring this up is because it is important to understand how we ended up in this genocidal cesspit and harbouring delusions about a bygone "democracy" gets in the way of that. Every political and economic step taken since independence is what brings us to where we are now:

• Congress' failed dirigistic setup under Nehru where the Indian capitalist class was protected against foreign competition to a ridiculous extent. Indian capitalists' wealth was incubated at the cost of the Indian proletariat while the country was running deficit after deficit.
• Opening up of the economy to foreign investment by Congress under IMF auspices. It lead to an increase in total wealth but the level of inequality it created was insane.

This is how the country slid in fascism. The common denominator in all these eras is that the working people get shafted hard. The numbers for malnutrition and unemployment/underemployment have been shameful throughout. This is also why the clowns in the INDIA alliance have no answer to BJP. People like them are what created this mess in the first place.
