GitLab takes down Nintendo Switch emulator suyu due to the DMCA

  • So they're saying that since Suyu forked Yuzu, it also contains some cryptographic keys from the Switch, which is the docs violation? Didn't something similar happen to the dolphin devs?

  • Taking a cursory look I feel like posts still aren't being engaged with like they used to. I remember seeing posts with 100,000 upvotes very regularly on the front page, but you really don't see that anymore. Yeah maybe they tweaked their calculations but why make your site look like it's not as engaging as before right before a major IPO offer?

  • It is so interesting seeing the graphic design pendulum swing between skeuomorphic design and flat design every couple of years. I love the 3D feel of their library and am seeing it pop up a lot more in web design.

  • Getting evicted. I don't do anything wrong or break my lease in my apartment, and have never had a complaint against me but for whatever reason I get super freaked out when someone knocks on my door. Even if it's just a delivery driver.

    I remember one time I actually called off sick at work because I saw my landlord on my ring doorbell tape something to my door and I was literally worried sick. Started thinking I had to start looking for another place.

    Turns out it was just a notice saying that they were going to give residents a free fire extinguisher in the coming days. All that panic for nothing.
