  • @Optional,

Some things (like supporting war crimes and mass murder) you shouldn't ever make deals on. Thats the difference between you and a progressive.

The DNC knew you'd cave and do whatever you were told to do, no matter what that was. I guarantee that the DNC told AIPAC that they could deliver your vote.

You will take the left's demands of ending AIPAC pay-to-play within the party as a non negotiable or you will not have lefty support in all future votes and the dems will continue to lose and disintegrate as a party-- because theres not enough centrists in the US to win an election.

  • Israel is their proxy against iran.

Israel doesnt let US military planes do overflights, or land. It was a huge deal in 2016 when they let a navy destroyer resupply in one of its ports. Does that sound like a puppet to you? We have no real permanenet military bases in Israel either. They wont allow them.

  • AIPAC (Israel) runs the US political system. Whenever a bill about israel comes up it gets 97% of the vote and it always has for decades, even when less than half the US supports israel. Its essentially bribes. I dont know about germany-- are your politicians also for sale?

By some strange coincidence John F Kennedy was assassinated right after he pushed to have AIPAC registered as a foriegn lobbyist. After he was killed that effort to rightly reregister AIPAC was cancelled. And after Israel shot up a United states Naval vessel (The USS liberty) in international waters during the 6 day war, we did nothing at all. They own us and we do what we're told. Its impressive really. They are a infitesimal part of our population but they pull it off.

  • yes and dont forget the part where we'll do it again too.

So your choices seem pretty clear:

    1. Dump AIPAC and their far right fascism.
    2. Keep losing elections and destroying the party with fascist lite policies.

You get to pick just one.

  • we had a good run!

I'd rank it as 'just OK' compared to how the rest of the western developed world is doing and how many resources and advantages we had from the start. We can do much better next time. I think in the upcoming defederation we are not only going to let the south secede, we will insist on it. Godspeed to texas, florida, and the south.

  • k, well, remember this loss and dont try the same shenanigans if there is a next time, alrighty? You can choose either AIPAC money/war crimes OR the votes of the left-- not both. Thats the reality you centrists get. Its not up for debate or negotiation.

If you think 4 years of Trump will fundamentally change that, try the same thing again and watch what happens. See you in the midterms.

Also, I want to do a special shout out for you @optional, in bringing this up again and again, and again, and my god, again. Tedious for us all, even me! But the DNC hasnt changed even a little bit, and repeating this exercise until the centrist idiots get the message that they cant force it is going to take a lot of repeating. So keep up the good work buddy. See you in the next post.

  • I dunno man, I was told progressives votes did not matter in the last election, and here you are crying about it like it does matter. Thats confusing-- Why bother if you think progressives had no power? And if their votes DID matter, why didnt the Harris campaign with their 'biggest-warchest-ever' consultants factor that into their brilliant calculations/triangulations?

Seems like a lot of finger pointing when the killer's call is coming from inside the house.

  • Thats impressive. I am from the midwest, you nailed it. I dont suppose you could narrow it down even further could you? The midwest is a large sort of diverse stretch of misery with lots of subcultures. I know if you heard me talk you'd have it pretty quickly.

  • I have never agreed with Bannon in my life but I have to say he makes some good points here. Musk has been involved in a lot of lies, stock manipulations, insider trading, and clearly some criminal negligence at tesla. And he comes from a well known criminal family. Even Musk himself said this about his dad Eroll Musk,

"You have no idea about how bad. Almost every crime you can possibly think of, he has done," Elon said. "Almost every evil thing you could possibly think of, he has done … It's so terrible, you can't believe it."

So Elon is flat out admitting that his businesses sprang from criminal enterprise? When would he say he went legit and is he still connected to this worst criminals you can think of? Needs investigating. They should civil asset forfeiture his stuff while they look into it- thats what they would do to any of us.

  • well maybe if the dems didnt run a half assed pro war crimes, anti-peasant campaign we wouldnt have lost the election? Hey maybe you could talk to them about that for us? They wont talk with progressives beyond just demanding we do whatever they say without question.
