The apps that I know that support mark as read posts while you scroll and hide read posts are:Sync Summit Voyager Infinity Connect (which handles it differently)
Connect is very good, the only thing I don't like is how to handle the hiding read posts, I like more how Voyager, Summit and Sync do it.

Is not that it cares, maybe a rouge community, or a bad character, I don't know, more people have reported this issue though.

I envy you, mine crash right after login, seems to be related with the high number of subscribed communities.
I don't and as I have stated, this is something I rarely ever do, I just kept it going because I did not want the experience to end.
