They went to a subscription model for using the desktop app... If we could buy it at once as it was possible before I wouldn't even be looking for alternatives, but I despise subscriptions.
Funnily enough (although I haven't looked thoroughly) I couldn't find a way for this yet 🏴☠️
I'm using Sync for lemmy and another Sync for reddit thanks to ReVanced.
I used to do this, effectively it confused my brain of which platform I was at at the moment lol.
Anyway not anymore since Sync for Lemmy is so busted to me in my instance (not even showing upvotes for example) and the dev has been absent for so long that I am already using another app (my personal favorites are Summit, Voyager and Boost).
I always try to use Lemmy, but Reddit is always more attractive to me because:
The Sync for Reddit app works way better than Sync for Lemmy (I understand there are a lot of clients for Lemmy, which is good, but my brain got so used to it that I always struggle with other apps).
I never used Reddit to browse mainstream media (like r/all) I always browse subreddits I liked and created multi subreddits of them, some examples of them:
Handhelds (SBCgaming, 3DS, PsVita, nds, PSP etc).
Media (Piracy, Arr stack, Stremio add-ons, Kodi add-ons etc).
As you can see none of those communities or similar are particularly big, so I think they have entirely enshitified... (Maybe just r/piracy lol).
This is an issue of the past for me since I started using Real Debrid with Kodi and Stremio.
I have a good backup amount in 1080p in Plex (physical and debrid symlinks), but when I want to experience 4K films properly I head up to Stremio or Kodi.
I just finished Ace Attorney Investigations II and I am at that stage confused for where to go now after finishing a game (is not that I do not have a backlog lol).
Anyway, I continued Pokémon Omega Ruby yesterday but I have that one, TWEWY, BOTW (both for Switch) and Chrono Trigger for DS sitting in the middle of a playthrough and I don't know where to go now.
I just went to Pokémon because I never finished the GBA version and it is the easiest IMO, TWEWY I beat the DS version multiple times and I consider that one better than the Switch one (gameplay wise) maybe that is why it hasn't caught up my attention so much.
BOTW is MASSIVE! And the joycon drift demotivates me lol And Chrono Trigger... I am pretty sure I am about to finish the 1st ending... But I am kinda lost in the plot lol.
If your device has more than 60 hz, perhaps that feature might mask this a bit, but definitely stock launcher will always have smoother animations than third parties if you are using full screen gestures, I am currently in MIUI (I was on AOSP before) and well, I can't even install another launcher here, but I can confirm it is as smooth as it can be.
My only complain about Balatro and being available in multiple media is that (AFAIK) the progress doesn't sync, does it?
If I were to buy it I'd get it for mobile.
