  • My only gripe with using Stremio for anime (at least with Android TV) is its subpar support for .ASS subtitles with the stock media player... That is why I moved to Plex + Riven for anime specifically (skip intro and outro are a huge perk though).

  • My only "server" is a modest DS218+ which runs more mainstream services that I see in those huge ass servers like in the pic, what am I missing? (I have 6 GBs of RAM):

    • Arr stack (Bazarr, Sonarr, Radarr, Overseerr, Prowlarr)
    • Plex
    • Calibre and Calibre web
    • DizqueTV
    • Dozzle
    • Flaresolverr
    • Heimdall
    • Iperf3 server
    • JDownloader2
    • Komga
    • Openspeedrest
    • Pi-hole
    • Plex-Auto-Languages (for the Synology PMS and my Nvidia Shield TV Pro)
    • PlexTraktSync
    • Portainer
    • Qbittorrent
    • Riven/Rclone/Zurg
    • Speedtest
    • Tautulli (X2)
    • Vaultwarden
    • Zerotier

Everything is silent and running with Docker, aside from a bunch of stock Synology services (and Tailscale), I really feel like the only reason to own better hardware is for a better transcoding experience... And usually you don't want to transcode.

  • Actually my ISP supports IPv6 (it is very erratic though) so I can access some of my services outside through it without using VPNs (only using a reverse proxy for the 443 port), but still is very annoying when I want to use them with IPv4 only networks, such as my carrier mobile data, I suffer from this especially when wanting to use Plex.

  • In a nutshell, CGNAT users must spend money for something that people with IPv4 addresses can do for free 😔

  • Ah, I figured... I used to do this with Wireguard instead of Tailscale.

  • Tailscale?

Is this setup advisable for the CGNATED environment?

  • When I mention the Fediverse to my gf she thinks I am talking about the "Fedeverso" an allusion to "Fedelobo" a Mexican YouTuber who looks a lot like a lot of Mexicans (hence the "Fedeverso") I don't blame her lol.

  • Or a handheld... Those ones still exist... Thankfully.

Even nowadays I don't feel "entertained" when forcing myself to use the smartphone when I am in waiting situation outside...

  • I have been using those sites since decades ago, so I think I am safe.

  • I have a worst example, people who showered with said bottled water when we had a water supply issue in my town...

  • I get my Spanish Latin media 🏴‍☠️ from many sites like that.

Not always an option to just go elsewhere.

  • I like my Vita, but not for PSP games, they look pretty bad to my eyes, especially if you have used a PSP 3000 or Go (my other Sony handhelds) or PPSSPP.

  • The PSP and the Vita had a better idle drain than the DS and 3DS respectively.

  • An opportunity to re-sell the same games with minor updates (I am looking at you 35 Mario anniversary edition) to a higher user base for today's prices?

    What am I missing here?

  • Tell that to the Gamecube and Wii U eras

They still don't lose anything, not if they can port/upscale them on the way and sell them for today's prices, why have backwards compatibility am I right?

  • So Pluto TV can compete against YT with their old school cartoons? Because I love those damn old cartoons that they have lol.

  • Mate, with how much the Switch sold, I think they already did.
