  • I'm pretty similar to you. Not much interest in technology, I already do it so often during my day-to-day that any more turns me over my breaking point. The main communities I am subscribed to are either picture-related or food-related, hope you can find what you enjoy!

  • wger. A workout tracking app that is open source. It tracks workouts, rest times, bodyweight, nutrition, and a lot more. Also has the advantage of being able to selfhost the software incase you don't trust them with your data (which I do trust, they're nice devs)

  • Yeah drive is a pretty good feature. Do be warned though, proton's overall Linux support is bad, including the VPN and drive. $8 for unlimited (which comes with everything you mentioned) a month is a little steep, but if you'll use the VPN and the email it's definitely worth it. Enjoy man.

  • Not really. They are very similar, but I prefer Tutanota because of the $1/m subscription they used to offer. I don't feel as if $4/m is worth it for email. At the end of the day, it's really just personal preference.

  • I have an account I bought from an Indian friend for around $20/y, and the only way I use it is for my TVs. They are "smart", but not android-based, causing me to not be able to install smartube or the likes.
