Darn it

  • It's dumb that they're actually removing Freestyle machines from a lot of places. But it was even dumber that they would have a flavor hooked up, but then the software wouldn't allow you to use that flavor in everything they offered. Can get a cherry coke, but not a cherry sprite? Why? ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

  • You could print an entire functional gun if you only intend for it to be fired successfully once. And no shit they require ammo. Ammo is easier to source than filament for the 3D printer. I can't walk into a Walmart and buy printer filament; but I can get ammo.

  • I moved from Craigslist to OfferUp and apps like that. I'd only go on FB marketplace for maybe a used car, and only in this area because there are so many Boomer car heads out here selling decent shit for super low, and they probably only know about FB marketplace.

  • Anarchists could be on that list. I grew up thinking anarchists were chaos demons trying to fuck shit up for fun. Turns out they're just people who actually have empathy and aren't greedy shitheads.

  • I remember there was a time when you could use the self-serve kiosk at McDonald's, order a bunch of plain cheeseburgers and remove everything so it was just a bun and it would credit back enough money that you could get a whole meal (plus a bunch of empty buns) for free.

  • Makes me wonder: Can you still mod the UI? Like back when it was still the OG green UI, you could customize it with skins. You can't still do that with the modern UI can you? ๐Ÿค”

  • It says one source considers it a myth, but specifically points to a lack of an actual score, and then goes on to show how the metrics are actually kept and what they are for. So it sounds like the "myth" is that they don't actually have a single numerical score for a citizen, but they do have extreme restrictions on their freedom based on what they do with their money and shit.

  • I think they were so focused on established strategies, that they weren't thinking like someone who doesn't know them. It's like being a high ranked player in CS with a bunch of low rank people. You're doing stuff typical of high level play, and they aren't so it throws you off. Like, someone being in a position that is commonly thought to be a bad play can suddenly become good again if your opponent is treating it as being empty all the time and you catch them off-guard.

  • If your barista just presses a button and hands you a cup, you're at the wrong place for coffee.

  • I mean, that's generally the answer but how do they gain here? Again, since it requires both GTA 4 and 5, wouldn't it be more likely to drive sales of both from people wanting to play the mod, thus giving Cockstar more revenue? At least Nintendo's inane BS makes sense, trying to stop emulation because you "need" emulators to play pirated Nintendo games. Taking down this mod, or the VR mods, doesn't make a lick of sense.

  • I can't remember if it was the sodium or the elemental aluminum that my chemistry teacher had literally blow a hole in the ceiling because he used too large of a chunk when showing the reaction. I just remember he pulled it out of the oil, put it on a dish and that fucker exploded hella loud and knocked out the drop down tile it blew through.

  • Sometimes I feel like the dude who has given up sitting at the Bonfire Shrine bonfire, and other times I feel like Igon as he's wailing on the mountain side. Never had a good job, and I haven't been able to stick around longer than a year or two before the bullshit gets to me and I either make a mistake getting frustrated and get fired or quit because I can't take it anymore. I don't fit in anywhere, I don't feel comfortable anywhere, and it's hard to tell what is truly toxic, or what's just my own shit because I have BPD, ADHD and am on the spectrum.
