  • we have an excel spreadsheet at my workplace that takes a solid 2 minutes to open and even longer to close and accesses a number of other spreadsheets with read/write access in the background. it's an absolute monster.

(it's essentially a database that keeps track of the calibration dates for our testing equipment)

  • but that's not an inherent symptom of buisness relationships but rather of the ones conducting them. symbiotic relationships are not usually harmful to their environment because they are usually specialized for that niche and can't just move somewhere else. humans (for themost part) can and thus aren't as immediately affected by the detrimental effects of their buisness relations (or we actively ignore those detrimental effects)

  • was aware of it but it sadly doesn't run on linux (at least not after me doing trial and error for 4 hours) and i felt the comparison to the unmodded one on windows fairer under these circumstances - thanks for trying to help though :)

  • the one i am the most sad about is magicka 1 - great game but getting it to run on linux is (as far as i've found so far) pretty much impossible.

Won't claim that it runs all that great on windows either though - getting through a chapter without crashing is rarer than i'd like it to be...

  • the question is: is a skeleton that's missing pieces still "one skeleton"? And if so, at which point does it become not a skeleton? Because i'm reasonably sure you wouldn't call a severed foot a skeleton even though it is still arguably "one skeleton" that is just missing a lot of pieces.
