The reason they're both moving to the right is that they are both right-wing parties, beholden to the same capitalist interests.

If someone tries to you into a false dichotomy, the correct move is to call them out.

If you want to comply with a political party that you yourself said "sucks", that's your perogative. I'll be over here with everyone else whom the Democrats have failed to represent.

You seem to be mistaking the Democrats for "the left" when they are in fact a party of right-wing moderates.

I'd advise looking up Douglas McCarthy for some historical perspective on why there is no "left wing" in American politics.

Being rich makes all of his motives and desires suspect, if he told me the sky was blue then I'd assume he pulled some kind of Lex Luthor shit and turned it purple or green until I could check for myself.

That's not the kind of person we want running the country. In fact, that is the kind of person who should be kept very far away from the political process except when it's investigating reports of malfeasance at his companies.

That's part of why you don't see more of us, we're all so busy maintaining all our relationships that we don't often hit the club scene (or wherever it is that people mingle these days).
