  • That would be less inaccurate, lol.

And no. I'll be a pedantic asshole to anyone who pretends that Trump is anything other than one of President Musk's assistants.

  • You underestimate how much I enjoy arguing with people on the internet, lol.

So is this your admission that your earlier statement was false, or are you still pretending that "part of" is the same thing as "all"?

  • Oh, you've been caught being dumb and your story is changing.

First it was "the government", now it's "the president".

That's not how America works, lol. Naming things is a legislative responsibility. Trump can sign as many executive orders as he wants, but it isn't official without an act of congress and a chance for the judiciary to object.

  • Then why are you here trying to tell people that one asshole with an opinion is the government?

  • I was unaware that the executive branch encompassed the entirety of the government. Please, do elaborate.

  • the government of the USA has changed the name

    When did they do that?

Or are you one of those people who would agree if Trump said "I am the state"?

  • My general recommendation would be to just get you a secondhand thinkpad and a padded sleeve to store it in, but that doesn't come with any water resistance.

Rugged laptops are a bit of a niche product, you'll probably need to pay a small premium for the feature set you're looking for.

  • Raspi isn't necessarily the best option for that, because it's based on an ARM processor rather than the x86_64 that's common on desktops and servers.

A cheap N100 "NUC" style Micro-PC is almost as inexpensive as a raspi and wouldn't limit the user to ARM-compatible software or add complications like emulating the architecture via qemu.

  • You may have misinterpreted the meaning of the meme, 'cuz you're preaching to the choir.

I mean, I'm trans and I used to have a magnetic sensory implant. All I need to fit the stereotypical mode is a cyberdeck and some neon hair dye.

All that's missing for the true dystopia was a government that's totally powerless to resist corporate predation and we've got that now.

  • Lets see, 80 visible cars and only one of them is blue.

Given that blue cars make up about 8% of those on the road, the odds of a random assortment of 80 having only 1 blue car is about 5/32, or just a bit under 16%.

So, unlikely, but not notably so. Given that there are about 140 million cars in use in the US, if we grouped them all into random sets of 80 cars we'd expect to get 265,500 sets with 1 blue car.

  • I think I was pretty clear about that when I said that anything that isn't in a good fire safe would be toast..

  • That's neato!

I wondered how they kept nuclear interactions from decohering electron-based quantum systems, turns out they just weren't. XD

  • If you're on Android, grab PipePipe from the F-droid store. That'll handle the mobile use case and block ads and skip sponsored segments at the same time.

  • Modern homes go up like kindling because of all the plastics. After an hour, anything that isn't in a good fire safe is going to be toast.

  • When it comes to music videos on youtube, it's best to save a copy in case the video gets taken down in the future.
