Okay, before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm not defending this. It's awful and shouldn't happen.
That being said, reading the headline, I first got the impression that this was a case of them arresting and transporting a citizen. People should make sure to read the article.
That's what it looks like. There are a lot of NSFW subs that didn't get banned, and some that got banned that weren't NSFW like /r/narcissisticabuse. All marked as for "being unmoderated". If they were actually banning NSFW subs, you'd think they'd say so.
While the value of their assets might be higher, it's hard for that to matter in a practical way. Everything costs more and the bank balance isn't healthy. The only way for the house gaining value to help with that is to take another mortgage on it and pay for things with that. If you do that, though, you have to pay it back and it doesn't actually end up helping in the long run.
Doesn't play protect just keep you from installing malware? I have issues with Google the same as everyone else. That being said, I feel like it makes sense to protect old people from getting a call with step by step instructions to install malware. It seems to me that it would take a sufficiently advanced user to be justified in wanting to disable Play Protect. In that case, they're advanced enough that they don't need to receive instructions over the phone and can say "I'll call you back after I finish this"
Okay, this I can explain. New Microsoft Teams is the new app. It was also installed before the person installed the old Teams. "Microsoft Teams New" is actually just "Microsoft Teams". The "new" is part of the Windows UI, not the name. It just denotes that it's a new option for opening "msteams" links. It's a new option because it was recently installed. The real solution to this is just don't install two different Teams clients. The old one is actually retired now so that's not an option and it's a solved issue.
I use MoCA and I really like it. It does add 2-3ms of latency compared to pure ethernet, but it's still better latency than Wi-Fi and much better throughput. I use it cause I'm renting and it means I can use the existing coax.
