  • Second on going for a more budget motherboard. They seem the most likely of any to change acceptable inputs over time. A proper 1080p (preferably 144hz but 60-90 isn't unacceptable) monitor will give a lot of longetivity.

  • Have been gaming in front of a 44-inch 4k TV for years (sorry eyes) with no issues. The biggest thing is making sure the TV has some sort of low latency or "gaming" mode that will turn off the TVs post-processing. WITHOUT THAT, the other commenters are right that the input lag may be unplayable.

  • That's why I'm happy when people aren't able to make it to Cons and Ren Fairs. Bunch of losers with more money than me spending on things I don't care about.

How dare they. I hope anyone who spends money to have fun has a bad time instead.

  • I can't help but commend the legitimately useful comment above me, but also, yes.

Yes, swimming is more complicated than I could possibly understand because I knew how to do it before I knew what I was doing. I'm a native English speaker, so I understand privilege, but swimming seems like such a primal thing to not be able to perform. I have a relatively close friend who can not swim and is scared of open water. It's weird to me. Maybe there's a privilege to swimming ability in America, but he's a white dude, so it's weird.

  • It's a (now removed afik) racist subreddit for exactly what you would assume. I make the connection in that it's only right wing insofar as you would assume racism = right wing. The point being that Hexbear is only leftist insofar as you would assume communist ideology is inherently radically leftwing (regardless of its potentially authoritarian implementation). Hexbear is extreme and should not necessarily be lumped into the grand ideology of rational leftists.

    (This is my dumbshit opinion)

  • I understand that in America, at least, there are certain elements that kept certain people from being able to learn to swim. To me, it wasn't lessons. I was just around water? Maybe I was too young to remember any formality to me, I was around water, so I learned to swim.

  • I cannot understand how someone can not learn how to swim. Idk, it's like never learning to jump, or skip, or run?

I know things get harder to learn when your brain isn't plastic and malleable (i still can't roll my Rs), but it's still strange and seems dangerous.
