  • Don't act like you know what I think, I never said anything like that - FFS I just said some people angry some people happy. That's not centrist, I was making a simple statement. Go fuck yourself! I don't give a shit that this guy got capped. I wouldn't give a shit if trump got killed either. One less POS on the earth making my kids futures fucked up.

  • I don't disagree, but still there are people happy and unhappy. I was making a simple comparison that in all cases people are glad and people raging. In every statement I've made it has been factually correct, it just seems people are trying to make it more complex of a statement than it is.

  • I never said it wouldn't be ugly, of course it would. I'm saying that there would be people reveling in it and people raging about it, which is a fact. An unfortunate one.

There's people raging about the CEO murder too, it's just different populations of people.

  • Many, like me, require no treatments as well.

Also, all of us have close vision issues when we hit our mid forties or so due to our weakening muscles in our eyes, it's something you can also treat with LASIK, but most use reading glasses.

    Can't beat Father Time!

However, my biggest challenge was distance vision (near-sightedness) and that will never go away, so again life long change for many with no downside.

As always, each person is different and you should be evaluated for a fit for the procedure. Some people have complications like many surgical procedures, and many/most do not.

  • I had bladeless LASIK in 2013, taking my glasses prescription from 20/170 to 20/12.5.

You read that right, there's better than 20/20 which is considered perfect. 20/10 is as low as most measurements go. I'm right between 20/10 and 20/15.

11 years later in my early 40s, my vision hasn't changed one bit, still seeing better than "perfect".

The procedure took less than 5 minutes per eye and I was good to go really the next day.

It's the best money I've spent on anything in my life and I would do it again a thousand times if I had a thousand chances to choose again. And I have a TON of hobbies.

If you get evaluated and are a good candidate, go for it! It's life changing to not have to mess with glasses or contacts, being free to do watersports and winter sports with no hassle.

  • Might as well do the check - you sure as fuck aren't going to be able to check anything out in 2028, if we even hold an election that year.

Do the check, see where the info leads, no brainer

  • Ha yeah at one point I did this with shittymorph on Reddit because he kept fucking catching me off guard with his comments as well. I like giving people funny tags also.

I really like ole softhands, I may tag some folks with that in the future in your honor :)

  • Agreed, I'm not out to create an echo chamber, but it's also not difficult sometimes to see a lost cause just there to troll or spread hate or division. Those get the block hammer. I don't mind disagreements if they are shared in good faith and are respectful. Those are few and far between, especially right now unfortunately.

I totally agree with you though.

  • I'm kinda weird about this - I will block some folks that I feel are toxic, but some folks I put tags on just to see where they pop up. Sometimes I've been too quick to judge people, and most times I definitely judged correctly. So I use tags to stage people for blocking, lol.
