You want immutable distros but Silverblue wasn't flexible enough? Why not try NixOS? It's really nice.
I've been using it for two years and I love being able to make changes to my config and having those changes apply to all my computers. It's also basically unbreakable, if my computer explodes I can just reinstall NixOS with my config files and it will instantly be set up exactly how I want it.
Idk if they mean Virtual Super Resolution, which makes a 1080p monitor act like a 4k monitor, instead of Radeon Super Resolution which is the FSR upscaler for upscaling lower res games.
Bonus action shove is so good, it lets you try shoving people off of edges or into environmental hazards instead of just whacking turn after turn. Also great for spellcasters and ranged attackers, but you need to roll for it so it's not too overpowered. Bonus action potion drinking is also really nice.
Yeah it's working for me on kernel 6.1 and 6.5 with mesa 23.1 on both my rx 570 and rx 7600. Only on display port. As long as you get the adaptive sync option in the kde display settings it should be on. You can test with VRRTest and look for stuttering when getting close to native refresh rate. Or if your monitor has a refresh rate overlay you can watch that change.
There's already the A380 for like $100 and apparently there's an A310 for around that price as well. They don't perform very well for gaming though, the A3A80 is a bit worse than an RX 580 afaik.
I've heard he sold some stock but it was like a recurring sell-this-much-every-this-often type of thing so it wasn't out of the ordinary is what I heard.
I love NixOS but it can be quite difficult to learn, so learning both linux and nixos at once would be pretty difficult. It'd probably be easier for them to use some normal distro while they figure out how linux works and then switch to NixOS later.
I've been using Lapce for a bit and it's pretty cool, like VSCode but written in Rust. It's actually so much faster, like you press a key and there's instantly autocomplete suggestions and error warnings, so it feels a lot more responsive than VSCode. It also opens faster. There's still a couple weird things and missing functionality though because it's early in development so I'll probably go back to VSCode for now.
