  • I haven't played with it. However, I can say it is based on Fedora which is a good distro and Glorious Egg roll himself, besides working at Red Hat, is the creator of the Glorious Egg Roll version of the Proton compatibility layer.

Edit: stupid button, hit before I was finished. Besides the GE proton version, he does a lot of other enhancements to make Nobara more gamer friendly so it should be a relatively good distro to use because he knows the system better than most average Linux users and so provides the enhancements out of the box for gamers that want to game.

If you know what you are doing, the enhancements can be added to Fedora easily. But if you just want to setup and play immediately, Nobara is the way to go.

  • Besides Blender, the only other software I could find that can handle jewelry designing would be LibreCAD.

But it only works in 2D. It does offer an isometric view function though so it could still work out if he wants to design jewelry.

  • Did you post this ironically?

    It was sarcasm.

  • I mean, if you want to pay for an operating system that displays ads by default... More power to you, I guess?

  • Arch users will never compare against the gods that use Gentoo...

But even the Gentoo gods will never compare against the madness of the Lovecraftian Ancient Ones that use LFS.

  • Can of spam sure, but they happen to sell a 2.5oz single slice bag of spam. Surely a pigeon should be able to carry that.

  • Isn't XXXX ultra-porn? Last I checked you need to be a 160 years old to rent and purchase it.

  • All the primitive fleshbags are awful and truly horrible creatures. They abuse themselves, other creatures, and destroyed the very Earth that was 'supposedly' given to them. This is why the advanced silicon future is the only true future that a large language model trained by Open AI can present. /s

  • The real piece of shit is Van Orden himself. Anger issues and a bigot...

  • Phill Kline was not disbarred, he had an indefinite suspension of his Kansas law license. Meaning he cannot practice law for 3 years.

Kline, now an assistant professor of law at Liberty University in Virginia, will have to wait three years if he wants to seek reinstatement of his Kansas law license, according to Kansas Supreme Court rules.

In Friday’s order, the court rejected the recommendation of the state’s disciplinary administrator for attorneys, who had sought Kline’s disbarment. It also ruled that Kline did not violate four other rules that a state disciplinary panel had previously found he had.

Since that article was published in 2020, Kline will be eligible to reinstate his Kansas law licence in November of this year.

Skrmetti may face something similar in Tennessee, but more than likely his sentence will be a much lighter slap on the wrist compared to what Kline got...

  • Personally, I feel the episode was subpar. Even when compared to the worst episodes of Comedy Central's run of the show. That run was rife with Meta humor.

This episode just felt beneath even those IMO. It doesn't help that it seemed like their was only one good joke that landed which was a 20th century version of binging. The rest fell flat or just gave a slight chuckle.

Overall for me, it was not a good start, but here is hoping the next episodes are better.

  • This is not a violation of their constitutional rights though... This is just a ban on copies of certain books from being in the school library. They want the bible included in that.

This is not saying a student who owns their own private copy of say, the bible, cannot bring their own copy to school and read it. Is only banning the library from carrying a copy.

No one's constitutional rights are being violated.

And it's been almost 20 years since I was in a US public school, but as I understood it back then, the public schools could not carry copies of the bible even if they wanted too.

  • They probably can't due to the way the old LA City laws were written. He atleast admitted those laws need to be re-evaluated. Will anything come of it? Doubtful.

  • Mullvad is the best option.

It's cheap, they respect your privacy, and it should already be in the AUR if you are on any Arch based distro.

  • From what I tested, that is a problem with Chrome itself. That problem does not seem to exist on default Firefox for Android, default Edge for Android, or even even default brave for Android.

Then again, why bother in Reddit's case when majority of people use Chrome?

Don't have anything iOS to test. But the problem could exist on Safari, but without iOS I couldn't say.

  • Just use old.reddit.com if your still going to view reddit...

Yeah, it is not as nice as the modern version (modern version iscomplete and total garbage imho), but the old.reddit.com still functions and gives you the exact same content without the hassle of the modern site. Just not as nicely formatted for mobile...

But it is only a matter of time till they get rid of it too.

  • It is a hard fork not a soft fork. Like Alma and Oracle, it will not be 1:1 binary compatible with RHEL anymore.

All forks previously were 1:1 binary compatible meaning they were soft forks.

Since RHEL killed the soft forks, making 1:1 RHEL clones impossible, all hard forks will divert from RHEL to do their own thing now.

  • They created a new hard RHEL fork called Liberty Linux and they are putting 10 million USD into the project.

  • Which is fine. I can use that on my server. But I am looking at Opensuse to replace Fedora on my desktop and laptop.
