  • Given the hivemind that are social media websites and their tendency to lean toward "mmm bacon", you never know who will react when you talk about the ethics behind killing animals. Even planting the seed of considering them not just bio-bags of spare organs could lead someone to question their consumption of meat down the road.

  • Cool technology, but kind of fucked up we grow animals with spare parts for us only to take them out and kill them. Once this gets to the point we can grow them in a petri dish the ethical concerns should no longer be an issue.

  • I dont disagree with you if a company has a competent employee configuring them.

  • At least have a source IP access list only allowing trusted IP ranges. Ideally it would only be reached from an internal IP range or bastion host, but not all companies have a security hat to wear.

  • That's a bummer. Hopefully they don't go fully under.

  • Most consumer routers will be nowhere close to 10Gbps... so yeah.

  • I sat dumbfounded for like 5 minutes. Highly recommend it.

  • SOMA left me questioning my own consciousness, what it is to be human, and loneliness.

  • Yeah no kidding. Where are my cyberware implants lol

  • I'm still struggling with shit I did when I was 8

  • Fwiw my Bolt has been rock solid so far. I'm getting about 240 miles per charge (to 90%, not full). It's a city driver though, I wouldn't plan to take it on a road trip

  • But the rebate has been in place for about a year now. UAW strike just started

  • We are quite literally unable to stop what is happening. Our leaders will promise us the sky and moon, but can't deliver. Technology won't save us. We won't stop business as usual until an external force causes us to do so.

  • Inaction is just as bad as action the wrong direction. How many are apathetic and have given up? How many are fat and happy with their bread and circuses?

I am not disagreeing with you by any means, but we have far more that are content with business as usual.

  • Read the article. They cite at least three users. This is a small minority of the constituents she has in her legislative district, if they live there at all. It's not like a verified Twitter account means you are a verified resident of that LD.

  • For fucks sake... stop citing X/Twitter users as if they represent the majority of US citizens. I can't stand this shit.
