What's more effective at changing bad driving behaviour, being caught in the moment and spending 10 min on the side ofbthe road getting a ticket, or getting a ticket in the mail a couple if weeks later when you've probably forgotten that you were even on that road at that time?

I still don't understand their end goal. If everyone exept for them is poor and dying who are they going to sell their stuff to?

I'm increasingly believing that they don't actually care about anyone other then themselves.

Their only goals are self-serving greed.

And the methods they intend to use to serve that narrow goal are extremely short sighted and lacking any peripheral vision.

Make no mistake, this administration wants to see people die.

They want to see people suffer before they die.

This should absolutely scare the fuck out of you.

This should get people out on the streets with torches and pitchforks, not signs and slogans.

Started off watching the Blue Jays beat the Yankees (who better to beat on Canada day!)

Made homemade poutine for the family for supper.

Walked to the neighborhood Canada day block party. A teenage band was playing Tragically Hip songs when I arrived.

Later made myself a Ceaser (sadly, no celery - couldn't find any that wasn't US grown), and watched some TV with the wife.

All in all, a good day.

Yes it's weird, it is another example of creeping American influence.

Unless things have changed since my family left the farm, crop insurance is only enough to cover the lost cost of inputs, it's not going to be enough to turn a profit.

No farmer wants their crop to fail. They want a good harvest that they can earn some profit from.

That foreign corporations would pay out of their Canadian sales.

Which would certainly cause them to increase the fees they charge their Canadian customers so they don't have to reduce their profits.

We already know Trump's bluster isn't about the DST or illegal border crossing or fentynal or any of the other things he's been whining about.

It's about him throwing his (considerable) weight around and making himself feel more important.

And about finding new ways to scam his followers by showing off how super important he is.

Just stop buying US shit.

Those of us who give a damn are already doing that as much as possible.

Unfortunately the 1000 pound gorilla that is the USA had taken over some parts of our economy to the point where there is no way to avoid them completely.

Plus those disposables create massive amounts of e-waste.
