  • I wonder what these bombshells are supposed to be

Eventually enough people will get angry enough at Trump's (mis)adminiatration to take some effective action to stop it.

This just adds to the pile of things to be angry about.

  • The fact that people can't agree on which alternative to FPTP is the preferred option is a signifigant contributing factor to why Trudeau abandoned his attempt to change the electoral system.

And why it'll be so hard to get any future politicians to take on the effort, even if they do agree that change needs to happen.

  • It's more cynical realism.

What actual consequences has Trump ever faced?

How has he reacted to every judicial order telling him he can;t do something?

I'll be thrilled to see something actually stick to him,, but I'm losing faith that anyone can actually make that happen.

  • One hour of my time to stop fascist is easy.

Absolutely. It's good to see so many people motivated to vote ASAP.

They're giving some of the older folks in the lineup chairs.

So far it's been a hour in line. Still a bunch of people ahead of us.

  • Canadian Music is in Danger

    This is nothing new.

That is exactly why the CanCon regulations were created in the first place - to prevent Canadian music from being completely steamrolled by the US music industry juggernaut.

  • The Canadian film industry is so huge that a great majority of 'Hollywood' films have at least part of the movie shot in Canada

One historic district in Winnipeg regularly stands in for pre-fire era Chicago.

And various other parts of the city can easily act like many mid-west American cities.

One of the malls here hosts the shooting of a hallmark channel Christmas movie almost every summer.
