Yea, looking at the video again, I think you may be right. It looks too “Hollywood” with the giant fireball. Maybe just a propane tank exploded igniting the contents of the gas tank. Hamas may not have done anything, heard there was an explosion and blamed Israel when the fault could just be poorly maintained equipment.

The photos they have of it is the legal use of it as smokescreens in Northern Israel on the border with Lebanon (to hide troop movements from Hezbollah).
