  • I've used and come back to Arch for nearly 8 years now and Manjaro has always been a broken distribution and genuinely gives Arch a bad rep.

Arch has always been a very stable daily driver for me, never breaking and never having issues with it. I'm always confused on what people are doing when they have issues with their entire distro breaking, especially since you pick all your packages and such anyways.

  • I'm currently visiting my SO in the US and the way roundabouts are used here is terrifying! I've seen people just cross straight over them and I have yet to see anyone but my SO use their turn signal on them, not to mention how long people wait to get on the roundabout defeating the point entirely.

The turbo roundabout was confusing the first or second time I was on one, but after that it made a lot of sense and was quite simple. A lot of them even have guiding arrows and signs beforehand telling you where to go, these roundabouts genuinely make it so you basically never have to stop and can just continue driving like there was never an intersection.

    It's genuinely awesome.

  • You're able to do both, you have a massive country with a massive government with a lot of funding.

99% of the time it's not one or the other, and your argument literally works the same if they handle the dystopian car first.

  • If they had kept the server menu on the messages tab it would've been better, they also removed a bunch of normal menu actions and hid them and completely obstructed other things.

It would've been a logical change if they cared even a little bit more.

  • They hid a bunch of things behind menus, multiple button taps and separated two parts of Discord while they shouldn't be. Even ignoring all those useless changes, if they had just kept the server bar on the messages tab it would've been fine.

  • It's quite a massive change and significantly impacts usability in a lot of cases and it also makes Discord no different from any other app.

If they had just kept the server list in the direct messages view this would've been way less worse.

  • I wish it was more simple.

The official matrix.org server is completely stripped down and removes a lot of features, and Element as a client is nowhere near as good as anything else.

Element X (with the sliding sync support) does fix the massive issue of absolutely horrifically slow syncing.

None of Matrix comes anywhere near the levels of usability Discord has and nor does Element, Discord's server-chat model is unbeatable in this aspect.

  • You post something in a smaller community and then don't want to have discussions or fun times?

I'm sorry if I got your intentions wrong, but this just looks like you're being an asshole for absolutely no reason.
