  • I didn't check the price before .... Yeah here in germany you'd get, a pedal only version, for around 12.000 Euros ( + 250 Euros delivery )

  • Thanks for the feedback, then it must be the Android beta version

  • Both the velomobile and the electric bicycle increase the limited range of the cyclist – the former optimises aerodynamics and ergonomics, while the latter assists muscle power with an electric motor fuelled by a battery.

The electric velomobile combines both approaches, and so maximises the range of the cyclist – so much so that it is able to replace most, if not all, automobile trips.

Why aren't we all driving around in these things?

  • After re-installing it behaves the same - i get through the setup screens, but after that, it just closes.

The strange thing is, that there were no system updates since 2 weekes ago , sync wasn't updated either ...

  • A slideshow of stills from Roland Emmerich movies just went through my mind.

  • Also looks much better 🤌

  • Can't fathom why you purposely would place winding stairs, if they're not needed. Even more if it's the only way to the top.

    Any kind of emergency:

Go down slowly minding each step, take a long time

    or

Try running down the stairs and break your neck

  • Sometimes brand websites are done well and you find what you're looking for within a few clicks, but more often than that, the website will be a horrendous experience.

Google search results used to usually bring up the direct link to the download page on that brand's website. Pretty much as the first search result.

To be fair, that also was a time where brand websites were really bad.

  • Married with children is another example. Would love to do a rewatch, but after a few episodes it's a little too much.

Even more, because the show aired around the time, where they started testing different kinds of audience laughter. Like putting the random guy that keeps on laughing, goes uh uh uh or is extra loud and whistles.

Edit: to be fair, iirc most jokes Al Bundy makes DO work well with audience laughter, because he's like telling the joke directly to the audience.

  • I gotcha now

  • Since it wasn't the equivalent of $ 30.000 by far and presumably used more likely similar to ours, i assume it was that very same quarter, that was usually used to flip the coin.

  • Ok, we must be around the same age. The idea of rewatching something from that time at my parents, sounds wonderful and soulcrushing at the same time lol

  • Indeed

The stinger of the Asian giant hornet is about 6 mm (1⁄4 in) long.

Described the sensation of being stung as feeling "like a hot nail being driven into my leg".

The potency of the V. mandarinia sting is due, rather, to the relatively large amount of venom injected.

  • I had hopes to come up with a funny answer, but ...

    1925 Standing Liberty Quarter Value

According to the NGC Price Guide, as of September 2024, a Standing Liberty Quarter from 1925 in circulated condition is worth between $5 and $125. However, on the open market 1925 Quarters in pristine, uncirculated condition sell for as much as $3750.

  • Ok - I'll have to rewatch, some things definitely flew over my head in this episode.

  • My impression was, that they somehow ignored Rom's character development he had in DS9, he became the Grand Nagus because of his ways of doing things.

In the LD episode he really only did silly stuff, while his wife handled the more serious stuff with the captain.

Or i remember his development on DS9 much deeper than it really was.

I think it might be time for a rewatch of the series.
