GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) version 3 has been released. But when will Valve release Half-Life version 3? They have already released 1, 2, the episodes, and Alyx. But when will Valve release 3.0? This is not fair because even GIMP has reached version 3.0, but Valve's Half-Life has not. 😔

If you miss Reddit, it is still available online, accessible via smartphones and web browsers. You can reinstall Reddit. This doesn't mean you should abandon Lemmy for Reddit or leave Reddit for Lemmy. Both are different platforms, but you can use both, as I do. There are different agreements to sign, and it is harmless for us to use both. I believe it's more fun and diverse.

What apps have you tried to "de-google" yourself?

I tried to minimize my dependency on Google by signing up for various email services like Petal Mail by Huawei, Proton Mail, and Yandex Mail. I also tried to find smartphones that don't have Google by default, such as Murena smartphones and Huawei smartphones. But it seems like it's too late to look for those gems without Google because I have so many apps that I bought on Google, amounting to around five digits in Malaysian Ringgit, which is not cheap. So I think I'll stay with Google for now, sadly.

Name an artist/group that you are surprised isn't more popular.

Greta Van Fleet is my favorite rock band. It is a modern rock band inspired by rock songs from the past, like those of the 1970s. They create blues rock songs and hard rock songs about resilience in life, as well as a progressive rock song that discusses humanity's dependence on smartphone technologies. Other similar rock bands include Dirty Honey, with their heavy, relatable song "Won't Take Me Alive," which I believe is about difficult situations, and Rival Sons' "Nobody Wants To Die," which I interpret as expressing that despite hardship, we don't want to die but rather seek a solution to resolve the problems more quickly.
