  • A guy I know started selling AI push notifications.

Your app signs up for his service, and he uses what's essentially ChatGPT to find the best time slot to send you custom push notifications. That's just his third party service working with limited data and system access.

Just imagine when Google and Apple start selling that as a service integrated to the OS.

  • In a fight between Apple and Epic, I'm rooting for the fight

  • Awooo

  • Inside of me there's a serotonin imbalance

  • Any online purchase can be refunded within 7 days, no matter the reason. I don't even need a reason other than "didn't like it" or "actually I'd rather use the money to buy some chocolate"

  • Some pop-sci YouTube channels also heavily started promoting nuclear energy during the same time period

  • not every country wants foreigners It's their right to dictate that

That's an extremely complicated philosophical argument that goes beyond two simple sentences, I hope you realise

  • you're not explaining how that works

My brother, search "how to purchase DLC on Steam"

  • Brazil had an entire presidential coup based around the same logic.

  • Illegal where I live, probably why they give me warnings about that but always end up approving the refund

  • It's s actually working

You should keep following your principles, but that's not the reason it's working. The amount of gamers that even know about Denuvo is tiny, and those who care enough to not buy a game because of that is an even smaller fraction of that small number.

The reason is simply because Denuvo is expensive and a recurring cost. Once a developer removes it, they no longer need to pay for it.

  • You're a bit slow my dude.

This software is free to download, but includes an additional optional purchase.

Guess what, old school RuneScape on Steam is also free to download, but includes an additional optional purchase.

  • So...?

I can download a free game on Steam and not download the paid DLC that unlocks whatever feature. How's that hard to grasp compared to this piece of software?

  • Yeah? That's how every purchase on Steam works? I don't recall being forced to buy any game or DLC

  • It's important to note that the AI isn't actually talking about it's internal system.

It's predicting how an AI model would reply to this question.

This is something people keep getting confused about LLMs. It's the same with those viral "I asked Claude to describe how it feels to think about himself and got this amazing reply with analogy and philosophical conundrums!"... Yeah that's not Claude describing how it feels to be himself, that's Claude generating a reply based on how people tend to talk about LLMs and the tone you requested (first person).

  • What do you mean?

"Optional non-recurring purchase" means buying something once lol, of course Steam lets you buy stuff.

  • Runs perfectly on YoinkyDonk LTS

  • he wouldn't have killed a woman colleague or his sister

But killing a woman with gender as an underlying factor does not mean you're going to go around killing every woman.

This is about what factors constitute the motivation for the crime, not necessarily an obsessed serial killer.

For instance, many murders are racislly motivated - but it doesn't mean the killer was killing every black person that crossed their path. A famous case in the US had a guy kill a black man, in front of his family, over a misunderstanding and confrontation - he killed the guy because of the confrontation but he only got to the point of killing because he was black, if this were a white person, we would have de-escalated the situation.

If a woman kills her husband

Do we have a historical, multi-generational heritage of women dominating the familiar structure and seeing husbands as property?

  • It was an obvious content bait piece, and it worked. Got shared everywhere, people kept saying "no the game is actually amazing now guys trust me buy three copies" and all it took was a Discord message, way cheaper than hiring a link building service or outreach campaign.
