I get that Nintendo's policy is fucking you and the good friends in Europe and Australia, but it still makes the title misleading. My (Japanese) government didn't impose the tariff on Nintendo products — the Americans' did.

I live in a touristy party of Japan and it's quite overwhelming. I feel the same as you most of the time, but I like travelling too and I love hosting friends who come. I just think the government and businesses need to make use of the tourists other than milk them for money and treat them like royalty.
