The Wii U Gamepad was originally planned to be the "map" part: https://youtu.be/SECWlFInyFM?t=42 .... so yes, it definitely would have been utilized better.
Contact customer service and ask for a repair. Nintendo got mass sued a couple years ago over the poor quality of the Joycons, and now has to repair drift for free even if the warranty period is up. I am not sure whether this applies to all parts of the world (I live n Germany), but I personally sent my Joycons to repair four times since buying the system (last one was in January) and always got a joke invoice for zero Euro from them. Only thing I had to actually pay for was postal service.
Even if they decline ....asking doesn't hurt and might be worth a shot.
Yeah, pfft as if anyone would believe that. Why would it be called "Legend of Zelda" if that wasn't the name of the main character?! Next you'll claim the girl isn't called Princess Peach or what?
Record videos longer than 30 seconds, and for ALL games. As it is now, the Switch can only record the last 30 seconds of gameplay (which, in itself, is really cool because it works retroactively) and if you want to make longer videos, you either need to record consecutive clips and edit them on a different device, or you need a capture card. And it only works for some games to begin with - The Witcher 3 for example does not support that feature. You can take screenshots, but no videos.
... but to answer your question, from totally legit real human to totally legit real human, the links DO work for you and people on the same instance as you (so of course you won't notice any issues if you check the link yourself), but might cause trouble for people visiting this site from other instances as it will give them the wrong "layout".
Just an example: people on kbin.social will see your community displayed like this: https://kbin.social/m/bugs@lemmy.world with the kbin layout, interface and functionality. If those people click on a link beginning with "lemmy.world" they will get the layout of lemmy.world instead, which might make it harder for them to navigate the site properly as they're not used to it.
In addition to advertising, you also need content. The most awesome bird feeder in the world won't make birds flock to it if there is no actual food in it, so give potential subscribers something to "consume" first. Tips and tricks to overcome anxiety, your own experiences as a starting point for discussions, maybe helpful links, an introduction post welcoming newcomers, the like. An empty space won't make people want to join.
None. Whenever I'm reading a book that I really like, I completely forget that the outside world even exists. It wouldn't matter whether I'm playing music or not as I won't hear any of it anyway.
...and yes, I can confirm, the dumpster fire is still burning. I just checked the BotW sub and the entire front page is filled with lazy ass shitposts about elephants that contribute nothing of value to any discussion. And of course posts complaining about the lazy ass shitposts. And at least two super obvious karma farming bots reposting stuff from the "top of all time" section.
