    idk if ladybird will get better performance than the others though, i honestly think it's a web framework issue more than a browser issue, barebones lightweight browsers like netsurf are perfectly usable on well made sites like the arch wiki

  • I'm a big fan of debian (with their netinstaller) for stuff like this, it allows you to pick the desktops you want to install during the install process and it does everything else for you

    before you actually commit though, you should test the distros you're interested in in a vm to get a gist for how it works

  • are you on a distro that uses an LTS version of firefox Ubuntu as a base?

    if so, try installing Firefox ESR

    i think unity expects the newest version of ff to be installed and bugs out otherwise
