I haven't been too into the new shows but it feels like a lot of humor focused stuff. I like lower decks, but I've heard snw is also pretty light and now this... I know Picard exists but with that over I feel like something else needs to balance it out.
The original series or next generation depending on your taste. Although be warned that TNG's first season is rough, so if you're not committed to watching everything, maybe pick a few episodes to try first.
Personally I watched through the entirety of TNG and then moved on to DS9, and I really enjoyed both shows. DS9 is also a direct follow up to TNG in a few ways so they make a good pair. I wouldn't recommend watching DS9 first though since it's so different from "normal" star trek.
On most distros you don't need to restart to update. Mint will just put an icon on the taskbar when updates are ready, and you can even tell it to just do it in the background. No restarts or shutdown warnings.

I'm thinking this too... like what's even the point of using denuvo if it's not applied day one? The whole point is to delay piracy so they sell more copies during launch week (in theory), so waiting until after day one completely ruins that since you can just pirate the easily cracked launch version.

65daysofstatic - "retreat retreat" and "sister." One is definitive post-rock, plus an uplifting anthem for the band. The other is a slow, foreboding ambient electronic piece. No shared instruments, themes, or genres between the two.

Believe it or not, the world is a complex place filled with a lot of countries that do lots of things, both good and bad, and it's not cool or edgy to just say the US is bad and [insert other country here] is good. Hell, you realize one of the most influential forces in the Chinese government (and a huge influence in the west) is Tencent, a massive profit-focused cooperation. That ain't communist.
