  • eat the same foods as you grew up with

That's unfair. Food has a subjective component, so naturally most people who enjoyed their childhoods will rate the foods of their youth higher than others might.

  • I'm wondering how you are measuring "common sense" that arrives at "usually false." Are you ignoring obviously common sense things, like "the sky is up" -- since that's just common sense?

  • A lot of people don't think. But a lot of people do think critically, and they just think differently from you or me.

If we believe nobody thinks critically, how can we even begin to effect change?

  • You may have misunderstood something. Dismantling Israel doesn't mean sending the population "home."

It’s fucked up of settler governments to use people as human shields and weapons like that

This kind of argument smells bad to me. This is exactly the justification Israel is using for its genocide in Gaza.

  • the election results are much closer than you'd think. Popular vote had only a couple % lead. Everyone had to abandon voting for their preferred small party (e.g. greens, BQ, or NDP) to get liberals enough seats to beat the conservatives.

  • I don't get the kimchi one nor explained the plot. If I don't understand a movie, I like it if someone can explain the plot to me. Is kimchi supposed to smell bad or something?

I also don't understand how the copper thing fits into the rest of them
