  • I think running the right type of candidates is super important - but also they have to overcome the stink on the DNC name in those districts.

My districts near me have flipped recently in longtime GOP districts because they picked the right approach. Don't run an anti gun candidate in TX, run pro-business candidates in rich areas, etc

  • People take the extreme since it's hard to argue with. But in reality, it's across the board better to leave it as an option in plenty of circumstances. You're saving a life in technical terms, but by and large those kids will not be born into a good situation. And it will ruin their parents lives too.

  • People don't actually like the smart and capable. They like bombastic, big mouth bullies who deliver sound bites and agree with them, or worse yet just a guy they recognize.

Everyone complains about how we only have old guys running for President, when we had several other options in the last primaries. We just picked the worst ones because the others seemed "boring" or people didn't know them

  • It really has become so easy to make yourself seem smart and credible these days. The fact that people thought Trump was a "good businessman" is absurd

Give millions of people across the US the same money, connections, and opportunity and they would all be just as successful if not more.

  • The GOP's core platform and greatest strength is lying and misinforming voters. Democrats consistently have lower deficits and lower taxes for almost everyone and still people think the GOP is the fiscally conservative party. I'm a young guy and have so many friends that always said Biden/democrats would raise their taxes - they'd never done their own taxes and had literally no idea.

  • So little of what the government does is actually effective in helping common people. The amount that goes to their millionaire/billionaire buddies is absurd. As someone who often works in government contracting, the shit I've seen is ridiculous even when I'm the beneficiary of it.

  • Saw another post on here about how ridiculously oversized the Ranger parked next to them was. Had to laugh as an American, can't even imagine how some of the 3500 brodozers you see here would look on a European street

  • Maybe some investors are that lazy, but I doubt it's most. You can Google "reddit" right now and multiple articles come up about what's going on with r/place, that's pretty much the least you can do before investing in a company

  • I don't know why everyone here is asking like investors and advertisers are completely oblivious and stupid. Most people don't just throw money at things without looking into it at all, particularly when it's their career. Advertisers absolutely care what their ads show up next to, the whole point of social media ads is targeting them to users with similar interests.
