  • Nobody does, the problem is claiming water damage with no evidence.

  • Fine minutes... but how many average minutes? :)

  • For those who missed it:

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/aug/07/donald-trump-rape-language-e-jean-carroll

“The only issue on which the jury did not find in Ms Carroll’s favour was whether she proved that Mr Trump ‘raped’ her within the narrow, technical meaning of that term in the New York penal law.

“The jury … was instructed that it could find that Mr Trump ‘raped’ Ms Carroll only if it found that he forcibly penetrated Ms Carroll’s vagina with his penis.

"It could not find that he ‘raped’ her if it determined that Mr Trump forcibly penetrated Ms Carroll’s private sexual parts with his fingers – which commonly is considered ‘rape’ in other contexts – because the New York penal law definition of rape is limited to penile penetration.”

So the only reason he wasn't convicted on the rape charge is that his dick is so small they couldn't definitively prove it was his penis.

"based on all of the evidence at trial and the jury’s verdict as a whole, the jury’s finding that Mr Trump ‘sexually abused’ Ms Carroll implicitly determined that he forcibly penetrated her digitally – in other words, that Mr Trump in fact did ‘rape’ Ms Carroll as that term commonly is used and understood in contexts outside of the New York penal law."

  • The more I hear about the Switch 2, the more appropriate that seems...

  • Nintendo has a history of BS repair refusals.

I had an LCD failure on a GBA, they said it was dropped when it wasn't and I found photo evidence of a retail unit with the same size and shape failure.

They did fix it, but it was like pulling teeth.

  • Questionable source, removed.

  • The worst ones are the "live update!" posts because the headline can change minute by minute. :(

  • Gotta say, I was tempted, but $13,000 and I'd need a truck to haul it and ramps to get it in and out.

  • If you aren't interested in American policy, why comment on an article on the ramifications of US policy abroad? 🤔

  • Not sure what you mean, a majority of voters approved of Trump in the last election, and 1/3rd of Americans couldn't be bothered to vote so clearly they're OK with who the voters picked.

The country is going to shit... to thunderous applause. They aren't idle about it.

  • I look at different solutions from time to time, but it's been a while, I'll check that out!

  • I first heard about them in Last Chance to See where they are described not only as a bird who has forgotten how to fly, but they have forgotten that they have forgotten how to fly.

So if you startle one of the poor dears, they're liable to climb a tree and fling themselves out of it.

  • Keeps getting reported as "ableist", but I have to say, as a wheelchair user, it's not offensive.

The target is Greg Abbot, who happens to be in a wheelchair, not wheelchair users in general.

  • Reed needs to, ultimately, nullify that negotiating tactic. 😉

  • AI is devaluing other skills.

I got an email today, from my own company, telling me I wouldn't have to renew my professional certification for 2 years if I passed an unrelated test on AI.

The "test" was 10 questions. Glad to know my professional certification is equivalent to a 10 question pop quiz on AI.
