I bought a car early last year that an odd grey gloss/non-metallic colour. Since then I’ve been seeing a lot of different vehicles in an identical colour across multiple manufacturers. It’s trippy because I swear I’d never seen the colour before (obviously I just hadn’t noticed it).
I was wondering who the hell this Grok person was. I was thinking about what an unfortunate name for a person! No surprise that it’s actually a product and [probably] directly named by an immature billionaire edgelord.
To be clear, I know he didn’t invent the name. But if someone’s parents named them ‘Grok’ I’d understand if they went for a name change.
It’s one of those things where, while I’m sick of hearing about his bullshit, I need to know if he does something that directly affects me. E.g. if he started doing a similar thing in my country as the stuff he’s trying with Britain at the moment then I’d write to a couple of representatives to let them know they’ll lose mine and many other votes if they side with the dopey billionaire muppet.
To be fair; if a near omniscient being offered me free food and board, let me be naked most of the time, allowed me to shit anywhere I like in the back yard AND threw in 2 Scooby Snacks… I’d do it.
I’m currently trying to get a divorce and settlement from my ex. She had an extramarital relationship and left me for that person. Fast forward 12 months and I receive a letter from her lawyer with a “generous offer” where I pay my ex $280,000 on top of $60,000 that she already received when we separated. Now, to be clear, that is everything I own. I would have to sell my house, my vehicles and part with almost all of my savings with exception of my superannuation and give her all of that money. Not a bad payout since she barely worked throughout those years and contributed little to the relationship.
So I built a rebuttal, complete with documentation, and lawyered up. Since then my ex has stopped participating in the conversation which only leaves me the option of taking it to court, which could cost upwards of $70,000. So I might still lose a lot but not as much.
If you had asked me at the start of our relationship, 10 years ago, whether something like this would happen I’d say there’s no way. The truth is you never know how someone might change over the years and whether they’ll still be the same person you fell in love with.
From memory they reduced the amount of Australia Day paraphernalia because of poor sales, supply and demand at work. Right-wingers started having fits because Woolies was “going woke” even though it’s capitalism doing what it does and the bigots were too busy buying their car window Australian flags off eBay.
So hypocrites getting mad at an admittedly shitty grocery store because it looks like it was developing a sense of guilt when in reality the same mad mob wasn’t buying enough to justify stocking the Made in China Aussie day disposable shit anyway.
My progression path through most video games.
