  • “Cancel culture is running rampant!” - Peter Dutton discussing Peter Dutton, probably.

  • No McDonalds but there is a Buy’N’Large Mega Mall that covers 50% of it.

  • Looks like my posture.

  • I always walk my dog after I finish work in my steel capped work boots. The times that I actually do walk in my sneakers is so weird, like I’m not used to not having weights on my feet while I walk.

  • Before I go into this I want to preface that I love Sea of Thieves (SoT) and it is almost definitely my most played game.

It’s funny that SoT is a culmination of pretty much all of the worst parts of gaming business culture lately and is still a great game. It’s a game as a service, has a cosmetic micro transaction store, premium currency, predatory micro transactions (change character appearance or ship name), released with bare bones features and constantly introducing bugs with every update. And yet it’s also one of the biggest success stories using all of those components. It wasn’t abandoned like some games as a service cash-grabs, the game has quadrupled in features and content, the cosmetics are (mostly) kept well on-brand for the universe and the team regularly communicates regarding both success and failures.

With all of that in mind; ever since I started playing SoT (a week after release RIP Day 1 eye patch) I’ve had a few mates, who’ve never played SoT, tell me it’s a shit game and that Skull and Bones will be a much better game in a month year when it comes out.

I’m always excited to see good games produced even when I’m not intending to play them but Skull and Bones certainly seems like it’ll be another cookie cutter POS game shat out to claim tax on the loss and shut down some time after. Thank goodness we have at least one good pirate game that’s still going strong.

  • You guys are awesome! I’m still loving the experience offered by Mlem. Thanks for all your hard work.

  • Everytime I consider buying an EV I do some research and they always seem to have all of the bells and whistles. Then I get to price and it’s like $60,000+ and I can’t help but wonder how much cheaper it could be without all of the added features.

Edit: I’m not going to reply to everyone and I really should have mentioned since it’s not immediately obvious but I’m Australian. No Chevy volt and and all vehicles are imported increasing prices on top of the usual AUD imbalance.

  • Plot twist, its Gellar Field is failing. The howls of the warp creep in, clawing against the crews minds and their very souls. The light of the Emperor is fading, hope is but a memory as screams of agony fill the cockpit.

And heading to the warehouse so no precious miniature cargo 😭

  • When you come across a ‘user’ that almost exclusively defends one controversial politician/company/government and all of their comments seem to follow a script. Also the account is either brand new or 5 years old but only started posting recently.

  • A message for Australians too unfortunately. The LNP (our right-wing party) made efforts within their time in power to coax people into using private insurance and punishing those who do not. And unfortunately even with the more centre-left party in power it doesn’t seem like the public system is getting much more love.

  • Could happen to anyone, really. Super common and not suspicious at all.

  • Goblin’ Roblin the gay Hobgoblin.

  • This is what I was hoping for. Something that an Android using friend of mine doesn’t grasp is that Apple adopting RCS with E2EE encryption as it’s implemented at the moment makes them beholden to Google. Google’s putting on a song and dance pretending to be the good guy in this situation but if that were true they would have developed E2EE in a way that was a part of the RCS standard instead of proprietary. In a weird turn of events; Apple committing to improving encryption for the RCS standard has turned this into a really good thing for everyone.

I never would have put this situation on my bingo card after years of Apple’s “Blue bubble vs green bubble” crap.

  • I unironically love the idea of spacial video, the only problem I see is accessibility for actually viewing them. To that end this is good news! No one I know is going to buy hugely expensive Apple VR goggles but cheaper VR headsets are within the realm of possibility.

  • ROCK AND STONE TO THE BONE!! ⛏️⛏️⛏️

  • Maybe less investment in trying to monopolise the market and more investment in developing their shopping platform so it’s not a smouldering turd.

  • Thankyou for your concern ☺️ she’s a nurse and has visited doctors on each occasion. Definitely feels like there’s something underlying there but that may just be me being paranoid.
