  • If they have red lines this needs to be it. If they allow the Republican Party to send people to a concentration camp without due process, especially when they claim they can't get people back, the Supreme Court might as well fire themselves and lock the doors on the way out.

  • And centralization solves this how? The other social networks are giving more checkmarks to grifters and scammers than they are giving them to honest people because, spoiler alert, con artists are very good at both building a following and paying bribes.

  • Putin is in the year 3 of a 3 day invasion, and became a vassal of China in the process.

Trump singlehandedly destroyed American hegemony, removing the tool he would need the most to deliver what the donor class wanted and he keeps losing games of chicken with basically the entire world. And I'm pretty sure Biden would've done lots of things differently if he could travel back in time even a few hours.

If they have time machines they are the most incompetent people on the planet.

  • The thing is that they didn't. If I understood the Supreme Court decision, what they did was saying that official actions of the head of state have to be tried by the legislature and not the courts, which is a common arrangement in other countries. The Congress is the one writing blank checks by refusing to impeach and convict Presidents based on party politics.

  • It should be forbidden to even refer to it as buying (I think some places already have laws for that), and they should also be forced to put a big disclaimer every time stating the game might become unavailable at any moment if it has things like DRM or core online functions.

  • That sounds a very reactionary way to see Vulcan/Ni'Var on DIS.

Vulcan changed it wasn't destroyed. And it's implied that this change was what saved the outward facing outlook of their civilization - the romulan component of population becomes the more pro-federation side of Ni'Var.

There are some interesting things to explore there, since on one hand you have T'rina who acknowledges her emotions and moderates them with logic, and on the other there's Duvin who is clearly more conservative.

I don't know if there's an actual plan on the timeline of these cultural changes or if it's accidental but there's already some evidence of this cultural shift in Prodigy and Lower Decks with Maj'el and T'Lin. Even before that there's Saavik but at least non-canon novels assume she's half Romulan.
