I tried Nobara and quickly ran into the lone developer problem when it didn't support secure boot. I don't really see the point of secure boot when the machine will still accept any USB I stick in there, but most other distros seem to handle it. I didn't want to spend a lot of time working on it and later find other unsupported things.
So I switched to Bazzite, which other people keep recommending, and that seems to work fine. AMD GPU over here tho, YMMV.
Why doesn't New York just hand him several million dollars and a court ordered professional wanking? He's defied court orders, threatened staff and family of the court, missed deadlines, provided fraudulent agreements. He has done all sorts of misconduct. If it were one of us, we'd be in jail with our assets seized.
The person in the article who apparently viewed it multiple times over a long period of time absolutely did so deliberately.
I think the point in sending you the image was to show that, in general, it is possible for images to be present on your computer without you actively attempting to access them. Not to say that the argument was valid in this particular case.
But it won't be written over with zeros, so it's all still there until something else actually writes over it. A mobile device is flash memory, so the controller wear leveling might not get back to that spot for a bit. It might decide that spot is a bad sector and never write over it.
I am more alienated by the processes surrounding everything. If I had to do idiotic agile sprint bullshit and also write mind-numbingly boring code I would lose my mind. Luckily I have gotten away with making improvements in architecture so it is at least an interesting problem on occasion.
It sounds like this author would feel better working on open source, a passion project, or a deep academic paper. I think I'd prefer that also. I wish it were easier to live while doing that.
He is too stupid to keep his mouth shut. The problem is the courts are too cowardly to enforce their own gag orders.
"Please stop tweeting about the clerks and family members of the court." [He immediately tweets about the clerks and family members.] "Oh, ok, please have a 10 day extension and we'll give you a far lesser bond."
The won't give him the contempt of court charges he deserves. Acknowledging that at least allows them to make better decisions even if they aren't doing the right thing.
Just make all fines proportional to net worth. I don't want poors to be fucked for life for the same behavior that an affluenza sufferer would just pay $100k and be done with. Make contempt like 1% of net worth, everyone can choose how much it is worth to act a fool in court.
