The (US) government has a long history of outlawing useful, helpful or otherwise enjoyable things (MDMA, weed and psilocybin) while allowing more destructive things to proliferate (alcohol, opiates). Many governments worldwide still outlaw marijuana and some places will straight up execute people for it (singapore). Keeps the population in check and helped fuel conflict within the lower class to keep them from looking upward.
I am asking because without reading the article it seems like the only interested people would be Indians.
Not wrong
Same kind of ridiculous nationalism and racism trump advocates for and tries to enforce through law. My dad, whose heritage hasnt lived in india in multiple generations, and has little connection to the religion or language, still supports that kind of bullshit and would rather people die so his religion and language come out on top. Like when india interferes with power and internet in Kashmir and hospitals are desperately trying to keep patients alive, that is a worthy sacrifice to him
Telltales: floor too shiny, machines on the sides dont make sense, inconsistencies in piping in the ceiling, random floating bits on the top right, a few big shadows that dont match the windows instead of many smaller ones
Blood brings water, sugars and proteins to the cells, the cells make mucus in the mucus membranes. The entire inside of your nose, throat and lungs produces mucus, with varying viscosity and quantity depending on location.
Atla is pretty long and if you didnt start watching it as a kid it could be pretty hard to get over the start of it. It starts off very slice-of-life-ish with some of the more mature themes sprinkled in between, and becomes much more dense later on. It's also a story about a bunch of kids (who grow and learn to cope or deal with their issues later on) which isnt the easiest to identify with unless you started watching it at a young age.
