I smoke cigars often, tried a pipe a handful of times over the course of a month not too long ago. They're cool but definitely more work/ritual than a cigar. Personally, it wasn't for me but I would definitely say to try out a $10 cob pipe and try and get a sample of tobacco! The aroma of the pipe is far better than any other tobacco product and imo it's a completely different vibe than a cigar
I'm not saying that it's a shift in nature? All I've been saying is:
A) tools to create realistic nudes have been publicly available ever since deepfakes became a thing
B) deepfakes are worse than traditional photoshopped nudes because (as you put it, a quality improvement) they're more convincing and therefore can have more detrimental effects
No I disagree because before you could tell a fake from a mile away, but deepfakes bring it to a whole new level of creepy because they can be EXTREMELY convincing
These things have been around since the onset of deepfakes, and truly if you take a couple seconds to look you'll find them. It's a massive issue and the content is everywhere
This. I've been using RCS for nearly 3 years, starting as soon as it was released (even going as far as to trick the messages app into letting me into the pre-release rollout), and have never had any issues with it other than when one of my friends switched over to an iPhone (and in fairness, iMessage has the same issues if you don't deassociate your phone number)
That's ... not that much tbh. If you were to go to the bar with your friend once a month you could easily pay double, the cost of like two movie tickets and popcorn, etc etc
The phone is great for someone who wants a phone that still feels premium while being willing to sacrifice some of the frills like a slightly better camera, higher water resistance, etc
Do you own one? i bought the phone 1 to use as a work phone and its been pretty stellar tbh. Not something to use as a daily, I'd prefer a flagship for that but the phone has been really good to me
Right, except the original comment was that phones don't need upgrades. I'm saying that my circle of people, myself included, all appreciate getting new phones for newer features. So the notion that upgrades are unnecessary is a little delulu
For battery swaps, I'm not arguing against that. This is all under the main comments about frameworks strategy of designing upgrades into their product -- so i don't have to buy a whole new phone to get a new camera and battery :p
Maybe if you don't communicate with people regularly lmfao.
My current phone is about 3 years old and is getting slower with age, the camera is mid when compared to newer models, the under screen fingerprint sensor is ass, etc
My first phone? A slow mess, not running a modern operating system, overheated if you looked at it funny, camera looked like there was Vaseline on the lens, battery was shit, usb micro-b, etc
