  • The system is working as intended.

  • That person and two other sources said many donors joined hoping to get an insider’s view of how to move forward in the wake of President Joe Biden’s dismal debate performance and the growing number of Democrats calling for him to drop out of the race. Instead, they said donors left the call feeling disappointed and like they had not gained any new insights or helpful information.

The call had been organized by Jen O’Malley Dillon, the chair of Biden’s campaign, and not by the campaign’s finance team, according to a source familiar with the planning. One of the sources who was on the call said that the donors who participated represented a wide range of views — some diehard Biden fans, some unconvinced about his path forward and many views in between.

“Please help us turn down the volume on this conversation publicly,” Melissa Morales, founder and president of Somos Votantes, said on the call, according to a transcript obtained by NBC News. “It’s time to stop the leaks and the rampant rumors. Your message has been heard and received. But every day that we continue this publicly chaotic conversation, we come closer to a loss — no matter who the nominee is.”

“These are donors who are not used to getting admonished and told what to do,” the source said.

“She is on a tightrope. She has to be very careful not to alienate Biden,” Alickman said when asked about Harris praising Biden throughout the speech. “I actually would like to see Kamala at the top of the ticket. She could carry out and continue the policies of the Biden administration. I love Biden but I’m not sure he is up to the job. And, I’m worried he is going to lose against Trump.”

“I love Joe,” Newton said. “In a business context, it’s like your 81 year old salesman that’s goofed up at the convention and not making his numbers. And, you gotta go in and tell him, ‘Judy is replacing you.’ It’s no fun. But sadly that has to happen.”

  • Here is the about section:

"The More You Know"[1] is a series of public service announcements that has been running on NBC Universal programming in the United States since September 1989. Each clip typically begin with an educational message from a celebrity and conclude with an animated sequence of a comet trail created by Paul Johnson. Being one of the longest-running network public service campaigns to date, the PSA series has been widely parodied both online and in popular culture.

  • It seems like it is just a new PR name for what the status quo has been trying to do for decades^[1].

If I understand the commentary from sources correctly^[2].

“Like some on the right, severe right, came up with this Project 25, I don’t even know, some of them I know who they are, but they’re very, very conservative,” Trump said. “They’re sort of the opposite of the radical left.”

“You have the radical left and the radical right and they come up — I don’t know what the hell it is, it’s Project 25,” he continued. “‘He’s involved in project — and then they read some of the things and they are extreme, they’re seriously extreme.

“But I don’t know anything about it, I don’t want to know anything about it.”

Project 2025 is led by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, and more than a dozen former Trump administration officials.

The document includes plans to expand his executive authority, replace civil servants with loyalists, crush abortion rights, attack civil rights for LGBTQ+ people and impose an anti-immigrant agenda, among other policies.

He also claims the plan is “extreme,” but the document mirrors several policies the former president himself has endorsed.

“Project 2025 will not be ‘stopped’ by an unserious, mistake-riddled press release or a task force of House Democrats lacking a basic understanding of federal governance,” Roberts said in a statement.

  • Awesome, thanks!

  • It seems they can.

Like all of Elon's companies, they will be overworked, and they will love it.

Hopefully, they will learn to unionize at some point.

  • Edit: firestarter added, a must have

It seems to fit the name quite well.

I guess it was meant to be taken as a literal name; feel free to join in if you're a firefighter or a Firestarter [1], that is.

  • You are welcome!

    I hope the article helped!

  • PC or 3rd party apps?

You may need to tweak the settings a bit, but most do not require to.

Sidebar should show mods and, if any, rules and additional info about community.

  • True, I have seen a few with no mod.

    Still a bit active though.

  • Edit2: added more of my thoughts and information about the source below; fixed format and spacing

I might, just might, assume that they have a much higher standard than other corporate news sources and the mainstream media (MSM).

I don't trust our owner-class owned media and government too much, which is why I try to get information from independent media as well. But who knows...

  • I am invisible; can you see this?

It is our right to self-censor ourselves.

    All is good!

    Peace.

  • It seems the Republican-lites will be taking the "L" in 2024; be it Genocide Joe or a different puppet of the owner-class, the status quo will continue when you support the duopoly.

We must not forget Kamala's record as a prosecutor from California; Gavin Newsom is also another from their ilk.

  • It seems that sentiment is shared by Blue MAGA; they really want people who are not for the doupoly to continue to support the doupoly, even if it is Trump.

    Intereeting times, hahaha
