  • God damn, Cruz will molest talking points into a sentence by any means necessary. It's like he rolls dice each morning to decide which random words he has to slap together.

Drag shows are literally banning gas stoves through an Antifa deep state Obamacare abortion.

  • There's still an algorithm and "like" system in that scenario: clicks. The news providers generate more content based on what was clicked most.

Some sites are more objective in what they report on, but there's still going to be biases in what you're fed.

In that regard, I'm not sure how different subscribing to certain communities is from subscribing to certain news outlets.

  • I felt that the protagonist in The Martian and Project Hail Mary were way too similar - both loveable science goofs making jokes while doing unreasonable math on napkins. But maybe that's the right formula to keep the science interesting for the reader.

The stories were different enough, but I couldn't shake the feeling that Mark Watney was on this new mission.

  • I still have to google search reddit when I'm looking for specific info like opinions on games. Unfortunately lemmy's not reasonable to search, and Reddit has a much bigger userbase with a longer time to accumulate info about most topics.

  • Yeah the entire article smells like gold plated HDMI cables from Monster, as if that somehow improves the quality of digital signals.

Sony has judiciously used gold across the internals of the NW-ZX707, including its solder and reflow solder elements, to further improve sound localization.

Gold has a higher resistivity than copper. Resistance adds noise. It's probably just for corrosion resistance.

Another reason audiophiles have come to appreciate the NW-ZX707 is something called the vinyl processor that lends the unmistakable character of vinyl discs back to their digital tracks.

So they further distort the sound to replicate lower quality equipment? They're definitely not making it sound more like the original by introducing vinyl artifacts.

This is some serious hobbyist pricing bait, but I can't judge since I've got my own dumb expensive hobbies.
