  • I read that as "Armstrong claimed [every event they speak at is about] autism awareness because [they are] an education advocate". Personally, I can't see how that makes a lick of sense.

They also claim they spoke about autism "at one point", but to be real, this appears to have been them lying about what it was to get the space and then it being a campaign event.

Do "autism awareness" events need Trump signs?

It's also worth noting that you seem to have read the (rubbish, LLM based?) summary and not the article, which lays this all out more clearly:

Sfida told the Inquirer it was a local Republican operative, Sheila Armstrong, who contacted him to schedule the event, which she did on behalf of her nonprofit organization, Cooking4Autism, without mentioning McCormick’s campaign.

Armstrong is a member of the anti-LGBT group Moms for Liberty, which campaigns against school curricula that discusses LGBT rights or race and which the civil rights group Southern Poverty Law Center has classified as a far-right extremist group.

She was a paid staffer for the failed campaign of Republican Mehmet Oz — who lost to U.S. Sen. John Fetterman (D., Pa.) in 2022— but appears to have no official affiliation role on McCormick’s team, the Inquirer reported. She told the newspaper she offered to be a liaison for the GOP candidate in Philadelphia.

Pressed by the newspaper about whether the campaign stop was an autism awareness event, Armstrong claimed “it’s always autism awareness because I’m an education advocate” and said she spoke to those gathered about autism at one point.

  • if Ryujinx wanted to avoid this outcome, they should have done things differently

How do you not read this as blame? Or, is this not the same as "they had it coming, wouldn't have happened if they'd been dressed in armour or hadn't gone down that street alone" which is often known as victim blaming.

Oh, there's a wiki article on that. It has a section on the thing you're arguing about, with cars and pedestrians Neat. Maybe this is why people are talking about it.

  • Based on that, then, do you think that the folk complaining about wokeness are always the vocal minority and the reason you see it far more in unpopular games is that there's not a higher ratio of positive reviews to hide the assholes?

  • Sadly, I think this person is railing against "having more than just white guys featured" (as if that's forced, when you start making games in new locations around the world) rather than the bland Ubi-style open-world map checklist that you might expect to be the sane complaint.

  • 100% agree, other than the ratio of countries that can legitimately create a PSN account (and/or buy the game).

Otherwise, seems just like the Games For Windows live stuff that people didn't love but certainly didn't care this much about.

    E.g. Fallout 3, pre-goty.

  • I have the same problem, and honestly I can just about force the thin side of the floss between my teeth but it'll get stuck sometimes (as the tight part is the top of the tooth), which is just not great.

The brushes, which I was excited for and bought the smallest size of, will only fit under the problem area - and are uncomfy.

So I use them to clean electronics 😅

  • I'll be honest, I'm very confused about what you mean when you say that Google Wallet isn't a thing. I pay with my Android phone everywhere, so ubiquitously that I've frequently left the house with just my phone and keys.

Do you mean America, where contactless payment is far less frequently accepted, or the concept of clicking on a "Pay with Google Wallet" style prompt on a website?

  • As has been pointed out by many other people in this thread, this is untrue.

If you are providing a Steam key, it has to be the same price as Steam. Otherwise, you can set whatever price you want (e.g. if you were selling on both Steam and Epic - like Borderlands 3, which frequently had sales on Epic where the price dropped below the Steam price)

    https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/keys

It's even fine to sell your Steam keys at a lower price in another place - as long as you're planning to have a similar sale on Steam at some similar time.

It's OK to run a discount for Steam Keys on different stores at different times as long as you plan to give a comparable offer to Steam customers within a reasonable amount of time.

TL;DR: Games sold on Epic could be any price they want. They're no different to Steam, in general, because that's what publishers choose.
