I remember there was one person I think she was 14 and was asking a lot of relationship advise, first I thought this was a troll but she kept at it for some time and it seemed like a genuine young person trying to understand the world around them.
I don't think that Lemmy is the most appropriate place to do AO but Facebook, Instagram, reddit are even worse for that.
I have to say it looks very interesting, I was looking for something like that years ago and couldn't find it so I ended up paying for some app for subscription for two years, but it's always uneasy when they push your very personal data to their own servers.
I was very positively surprised that the first Korean package I scanned was already in the database, because the other app struggles with that a lot.
But the UI is nor really working well on my Samsung S24 Ultra:
Brand is not centered and not aligned with the kcal
And this is only on this view, the other views have similar problems like that text in the menu is centered for some reason instead of aligned left with the icons. Padding is very different for each widget and text, etc.
I still might end up using it anyway and hoping for a more consistent ui down the line anyway ^^
I would probably go to test it if at all possible, especially if there is a way to come back.
In real live I already immigrated 3 times to a different country and before I had kids I was even dreaming about going to Mars even if it would have been om a one way ticket.
In my wife's company they fired the execs and didn't increase the pay for the workers. Instead the capitalists are keeping the saved money to themselves.
In the end the CEOs are also just workers with a extremely high salary but a salary nevertheless. The capitalists are the owners of the company and they extract as much money from the workers as possible. But yeah to be fair the CEOs are the ones helping them to do that.
It's a bit weird because it's in the middle of a modern city, one more weird thing is that you can't get in easily to explore like with other ruins, so you're just on the outside looking at it.
But it is impressive especially when you get close to it and see what the weather did to it in thousands of years.
It took forever to prepare everything. One hour to get there, 40 minutes to wait in the line for the lift which goes all the way up on the roof of the Altare della Patria, and then waiting there for the sundown, again more than one hour, just before they close the roof at 19:15. I was the last person there still taking this picture while the security guard trying to convince me to go down with him.
