Quite humorous

As soon as I saw the words “powered by the sun” in the synopsis, I knew what this was. I learned this during survival training, it’s a great way to turn piss (or any other undrinkable water) into clean water. And yeah, all you need is some plastic and a cup. Let the water evaporate (power of the sun) and collect the droplets in something. Had no idea that needed a science paper.

Here’s the problem with desalination, tho: what do you do with the leftover super-brine? It’s pretty gnar stuff, like almost poison. Wide-scale desalination would produce tons of it every day. Most solutions i’ve heard are like “just dump it back in the ocean!” Which, yeah, how could that ever go wrong?

yeah i have a few of them and they all get extremely hot, plus they look ugly as hell. usually a super short cord so right where my mouse would be is a blazing hot ugly box with a bunch of cables and junk sticking out. and if you accidentally jiggle it or move the laptop too much the whole thing blanks out for a second interrupting work flow.

what you’re also ignoring is stuff like time cost. for a certain person, the time spent to find and research a reliable alternative at a lower price point might be worth more than $10 or $20.

fuck people for not caring much about $10? i wouldn't even consider that being rich. do you consider everyone in the middle class as obscenely rich? the average person out of their teens and 20s can waste $10 without caring.

I still have the dock connector to lightning adapter, which was purchased for that exact reason! i kinda want to get this and see if i can chain them together hahaha

i have a couple Unity games that are close to shipping, i think i'll hold off on that and rewrite in Godot instead. I was already considering it since working with Godot is a thousand times more pleasant than Unity anyway.

anarchism is dope of course but we basically need to evolve as a society before it could happen. you can't really impose anarchism top-down like you can with statism. so i think a majority of people would have to want it first. and that's the hard part, because most people seem to be incapable of imagining living without masters.
